I have not seen one post here about how you were screwed on the overturned spot. I even went back and read your game thread and you all were able to admit the guy didn't make it before the review. The ESPN boards are filled with whiners saying the refs cost them the game.
Even though I think you guys have an unrealistic view of how superior the donkeys are to everybody else, I have to give you props. Good game tonight. |

They didn't deserve it anyway, they couldn't go 3 yards in 3 downs.

I agree, pretty impressive sportsmanship. I know losing sucks, it was a great game though.

There's no whining this week because this was the first time since Miami we really got dominated. People can call it a close games, but the Chiefs aren't a defensive football team, so if they win in a shootout, i consider that domination because they were playing their football.

If you cant gain a yard on a 3rd and 1 / 4th and 1 in a crucial situation of a any game, you dont deserve to win! Its as simple as that...

MA didn't make it...the problem was bullshiat refs...they were horrific about letting them hold...
We don't make shiat up...MA was short by about 5 inches...but that doesn't change how the Refs called that game... |

Anyone who didn't see the blatant holding was blind...and the Lynch penalies threw the game even worse...that was bullshiat...it wasn't helmet to helmet...I don't know what they expect sometimes...he hit on the shoulder, it's perfectly clear...a Bronco (I think MA) had his helmet knocked off and no call...

I can't believe that KC maroon can deny that the refs didn't throw that game...it was absurd...

Plummer had a marginal game, it doesn't change how the game was called with several non calls and bullcrap on Lynch..KC played a solid game, but the refs threw it IMO...

Either team could have won that game yesterday. It was a hard fought win. Both teams played well. An excellent game to add to the riviraly history between our two teams.

That guy who called the original spot should have just worked his last game. He is either completely incompetent or was trying to blatantly cheat. Either way he should never work in that business again.
Spotting the ball is an inexact science to be sure and the ball is going to get spotted off a few inches nearly every play but that was the first time in over 3 decades of watching football where I seen a spot missed by several feet that didn't involve a question of whether a knee was down or not. He just missed the visual advancement of Anderson and the ball by probably 2 to 4 feet. That was pretty amazing and I'm guessing the guys in the booth and the ref who reviewed the play thought so too as they didn't take hardly anytime to come out and reverse that. That guy isn't fit to spot the ball for Pop Warner leagues. |

Although I don't personally think he made it, I also don't think there's any way you can overturn the call on the field.
On the replays, when exactly is he down by contact? Where is the ball at that exact moment? The official said he saw MA stood up short of the 48, but stood up doesn't mean down. |

I'm sure it was probably the right call, but man, I'm not sure there was quite enough evidence to overturn it with the game on the line but like idiot..err bob pointed out, MA chose the wrong lane to go in |

I was screaming for the bootleg on that play when I saw how the Chiefs were going to play it. #29 for the Chiefs was the only who would have had a chance to get Plummer before the first down, and he didn't even glance at Plummer after the handoff. He might have coasted 30 yards. The Chiefs sold out on that one and unfortunately we did not get the job done. The play calling was spotty all day.

but what can you do, if we call the bootleg and Jake blows up and throws an incomplete pass to a wide open guy, this board is in full melt down of course he could've ran it for a first down d'oh well, I have my doubts we could've scored a TD anyway |

Going by the yellow line he didn't make it. It was a gift that the ref gave the Broncos that spot. But you have to remember that the yellow line isn't official They didn't show the replay enough for me to see if he made the mark or not. He clearly didn't make the yellow line.

The yellow line isn't official but it was very useful as you could see he came up well short of the yellow line on the TV while the ref came running in and spotted it about a foot beyond the yellow line. When all said and done the spot he made which was about a foot beyond the yellow line turned out to be exactly on the actual line. It was definitely a good example as to how the yellow line the TV puts on definitely isn't always accurate to the official line. |
