Default Good-bye, Lenny. We hardly knew ye.

Or perhaps we knew ye too well.

Either way, it's officially over. There is already a thread on ChiefsPlanet about how they should claim him off waivers.

BRONCOS WAIVE CB LENNY WALLS FROM RESERVE/INJURED LIST

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Monday waived cornerback Lenny Walls from the reserve/injured list, Head Coach Mike Shanahan announced.

Walls (6-4, 195 pounds) is in his fourth NFL season and was placed on the reserve/injured list Nov. 1 with a right groin strain. He appeared in seven games (3 starts) for the Broncos this season, totaling 16 tackles (all solo), six pass breakups and one forced fumble.

With our game with them coming up, you should see a headline in the next day or two saying that KC is working out Lenny Walls.

I would love to see Lenny in a KFC uni, then we could call their uniforms Hefty's because they are full of trash.

Lenny was waived. Meaning teams get to put in a claim on Walls. If multiple teams put a waiver claim, then the team with the worst record gets him. Lenny came a long way for a guy that wasn't drafted. Just sad how fast he has fallen in a short amount of time.

It actually probably won't turn out too bad for him. Someone will be seduced in the off-season by his size and potential, and he'll get a decent contract. I wish it would have worked out here, but I'm happy who we have.

Still I'd prefer him as a backup more than Roc.

Lenny is going to be a very good corner for someone. Too bad it won't be for us.

Me too. After that rookie year, I had high hopes for him and the Denver secondary. For some reason, it just went the other way.

Wherever he goes I wish him will, if he got his act together he could be a force. You don't see many corners with his size

I started to feel sorry for him then I remembered that blown tackle against KC that allowed their only score. Then I started remembering times when he would jump around and beat his chest when the opposing QB would overthrow the guy he was covering. Then I remembered all of those times when he obviously had no idea where the ball was as it sailed by him. Mostly I remember the plays that DW and Fox made that proved Lenny Walls expendable. Still, I wish him the best unless he plays against us.
