Did Vashers TD return off the failed FG in the Bear game Sunday break the record of the TD return the Ravens converted against us a few years back or did he just tie it. The news kept saying he broke it but I thought the Raven return was in the 108, 109 range. Sure would be nice to get that off the record books.
I was out most Sunday & Monday with the flu & am still recovering, too lazy to look it up. |

yes, thank God. The broncos actually have had TWO returned for over 100. The chorfs did it in 1967 or something. I began attending games in 68, so I fortuanely did not see it.

I'm sorry but this stuff is gay....the only yards that count are the ones from endzone to paydirt.
And why would you attempt to kick in that kind of wind. |

Problem with these records is - plays from scrimmage are limited to 99 yards, so it's a skewed stat. ________ I think Randy Montgomery had a 105 yard KO ret for TD one year for us, too . . . but maybe that was pre-season. |

NFL.com wire reports BALTIMORE (Sept. 30, 2002) -- Chris McAlister of the Baltimore Ravens set an NFL record, returning a missed field goal 107 yards for a touchdown against the Denver Broncos. It was the longest play in NFL history, breaking the record of a 106-yard kickoff return. That was done three times, the last by Roy Green of the St. Louis Cardinals against Dallas on Oct. 21, 1979. Shanny oughtta show that play to the boys before the Ravens game in a few weeks . . . watch Billick run up the sidelines like a girl with a new credit card. Over the past 6 years, the Ravens have destroyed the Broncos every time out. I'm looking forward to PAYBACK!!!!! |

Kind what I am thinking. Jailhouse Lewis is not tearing it up & they have no QB or "Swagger" on D anymore so it is time to crush these Bonethugs! We need Kahn to tell them how to serve Vengence! |

The Vashar run was pretty amazing. Literally, there was no time left on the clock before halftime. He would have felt awful if he didn't get in the endzone...
