Default can we clinch AFC WEST DIVISION?

is it safe to say if we stay unbeaten until week 16 and lose to san diego we would be declared a winner of AFC WEST DIVISION?

Considering we are two games ahead of everyone else in our division, I'd say we could clinch in Week 15. However, both are likely to drop at least one more game. It would really help if we beat KC on Dec 4th.

We have the misfortune of playing in a good division and it could very well be week 14 or 15 before we clinch. It sure would be nice to play in the AFC Least or the NFC Norris.

Can we? Sure. Will we? that's another question, still too many games left to tell.

Statistically we have no chance to win at KC in december....[Berman]but that's why they play games[/berman]

Depends on the situation. I don't like it, but Shanny usually does. We rested our starters against GB two years ago and played poorly against Indy. We rested our starters for 3 weeks in 1996 and got embarrased. However, we rested them in 1998 and won the Super Bowl.

I would like to see the starters at least play a half so they can stay sharp, especially if we have a bye.

Depends on which Denver team shows up. This team is good enough, and the Chiefs look vulnerable. But as usual, they will treat that as their Super Bowl because that is all they have and we embarrased them on Monday night. So we are gonna have to play one of our better road games -- like the J'Ville game.

Yeah. I still think we drop that game in Arrowhead. Don't be deceived by the fact that they suck. They will play over their heads when we come in - if only to save some face.

I hope not. The way we didn't even care to show up last season really bothers me. Losing is one thing, but going out and quitting in a big game like that is inexcusable. Winning that game this season could very well be the game that puts the division on ice.

I think that we have a better chance at narrow head than we do in Sandy Eggo, but who the hell knows our second half of the season has not been a strength latley.

I agree, it is unlikely we win in KC, that's why getting the 2 game lead was so huge. It may be worth watching SD as much as KC though. Aren't they tied in the division now?

There's no real reason in the world why this team can't win at Arrowhead.

Aren't we getting really ahead of ourselves here? We're playing well and we've been lucky. Let's hope both factors continue.

We control our destiny. Even if we do lose in KC, we have the division if we win all the rest of the games...

KC is imploding, anyone see the play of TRINT lately? We definitely have a shot of winning in KC.

San Diego Dallas Kc ,the easiest win of those 3 is K.C. We will win 1 or 2 of those 3

So we got blown out at Arrowhead last year. We were good last year but up and down would be a better word for our play. The year before that we were winning the entire game but lost because of Dante Hall by 1 point. This year we end this nonsense and win.

Wow, I could have sworn I just saw a teddy ruxbin bear.

Amazing.

Aside from that you guys are sitting in a pretty good place but crazier things have happened. If you play your game and don't drop games to teams you should beat the **** out of you should be ok. You've done it once this year and have done it the past. Hopefully for you guys this team has washed that off...its possible.

Too early to be talking about this *knock on wood*, if we can manage to win the next 2 games in 5 days it might be more suitable.

On a related note: IMO the Arrowhead game is looking more and more winnable than in most years past.

That offense is losing it (fastly).

No Priest and LJ while scary doesn't deem it important to block for the QB or do a lot of the other "little things" that Priest always did.

Johnson gets his yards...he does good things. I wish he would lower his pad level a bit. For a good protion this year I thought he left his pass blocking problem in 2004 but this game showed thats not true at all.

Its pretty easy. If our offenisve line does its job our offense clicks very well. If it doesn't? Its a train wreck. No middle ground...one or the other. Green has been knocked down more than any QB in the league but when he is given times we do good things. They have done a good job of run blocking but you have to protect that QB.
