Raiders or Chiefs ? - The Orange Mane

As an outsider I had always assumed that the Raiders were easily the most hated Rivals of the Broncos. However after seeing the venom directed at the Chiefs posts on this site and after personally seeing the stomping of the Chiefs shirt at Mecks tailgate I am beginning to doubt my first assumption. So who is the most hated Bronco rival, Raiders or Chiefs ?

Depends on the year. Most years the Raiders, but here recently the Chefs.

I think geography has something to do with it. You ask fans in California, and they will probably say Raiders. People like me who live in King Carl country will say the Chiefs...

It's just fun to hate on all the AFC WEST. Personally I'd still rank the Raiders at the top. Even though they suck right now they have had more of an impact in the AFC west grand scheme of things with their recent SB appearance/winning it in 83. Chiefs haven't done much in 30 + years. The chiefs going 13-3 and getting bounced several times just reflects what a joke of an orgnization they are when it comes to the playoffs.

We also have more bad blood with Shanny and Al Davis/romo etc that fuels the fire. Shanny takes alot more shots at the Raiders. Hell Al still owes him money! We definetly have the raiders # since Shanny has been the coach but watching some of the old Raider vs Broncos games lately helped me realize how much the Raiders have always disrespected the Broncos.

Keep in mind we haven't had the raider home game so we'll be stomping on their shirt next. We had a Dallas shirt we've been beating on for a few months but it fell out of the bus the other day and we lost it. I'll have to hit a thrift store and get another one.

Most of the Charger fans I met are just bandwaggon types. Last year in SD even the old school Charger fans were dogging on all the front runners around the tailgate and in the game. Hard to hate on a team that really doesn't have a solid following but event the Chargers have represented in the superbowl in the modern era. The chiefs well they just can't get it done. Ever.

Hate to say it but I think my hatred for the Colts is getting to a Chiefs, Raiders level. I would say Raiders though.

Depends on who we are playing at the time, but my hate for the raiders has been running deep since the mid 70s that much will never change but the mullets are a very close second.

They are all hated but the most intense hate is usually reserved for the biggest threat. Use to be the Raiders for most Chief fans but we have beaten them so much and they have stunk so bad the last few years that it greatly lessened the intensity temporarily.

The only team to never hold the top spot is the Chargers. While they have played well the last year and a half they have never been consistently good long enough to even threaten the Raiders or the Donks...and when they aren't good they have usually not been just mediocre but horrible.

Another contributing factor is hanging out on this board...I never disliked the Donks that much until I found out how big of pri@ks some of these Donkey fans are... So needless to say hanging out in here has been good for the rivalry.

For me, it's unquestionably the Chiefs. There are lots of reasons why, but it's definitely the Chiefs.

Part of it, with the Raiders, is that I have a theory that Al Davis actually died two or three years ago. The guy you see in the owner's box at games is Al Davis, but he is dead and has been stuffed and mounted by a taxidermist. This was one of Al's last wishes. He felt that the mere sight of him would cause hatred in nearly every NFL circle, and that thought gave him his last bit of joy before entering the gates of hell. Some day, we're all going to catch on. At that day, I don't want to feel stupid for having hated a dead guy all of these years.

It goes in cycles with the rivalry. My personal hatred is for the fade. I flipped out when the white trash moved in two houses down, with their 2 pit bulls and their fader flag in the rear window of their vehicle. Followed closely is the Queefs, however as I interact with their trolls on this board, it is really becoming more of a pity. To have fans like Iowanian, Boob, and Nappy, as well as a head coach who looks like he has permanent constipation, really makes me shake my head. The Chargers are interesting because I hated them dearly during the Fouts/Coryelle (sp?) era. Their fans are kind of like the seashore they come in and go out with the tide, so it is really hard to hate the Bolts.

I hate every other team in the AFC, with a tad bit less hatred for the Patriots, just because Brady is a ****ing stud! But the most hatred would have to go to the Chiefs, slightly above the raiders because of some of the chef a$$holes in here. I can handle some, but there are two that make my detest for the chefs grow with every idiotic post they have!

Unfortunately you are correct about the geritol. If we don't come up with a nice youth insurgence at QB, WR and OL real soon we will be in for a very ugly stretch.
