Default An arbiter just might force Eagles to welcome TO back

the person who decide this is a redskins fan LMFAO!! ESPN just reported that. If Eagles lose, Andy Reid would probably bench him the entire game but TO would still get paid

No matter what after 4 games they HAVE to pay him. The will make him inactive for every game and he doesnt have to be on the sidelines. TO is in court becuase he wants his money for the 4 game suspension he will go through.

yea, it would be a travisty to let him back on the team so to speak. even had Ralph Nader today make a statement that its T.O's right to free Speech when talking negative things about the team. everyone is trying to excuse this a-holes behavior, Owens is a disgrace to the NFL.

My only thing on TO is he did bash his team and organization, but at least hes better than the rapists, drug abusers, and steroid guys littering the NFL.

The Eagles are idiots if they don't cut him. Why have him anywhere near the team? Why have a permanent distraction on the sidelines?

I don't see how some scum lawyer can argue that a team can't penalize a player for making comments and actions that are detrimental to the team? Its bogus. The Eagles have done everything according to the CBA and they will continue to. TO won't play, he will be deactivated before every game.
By the way, heard jim rome say today that ralph nader sent a letter to the eagles and to tags that they should let TO play.

hahahaha, if I re-call correctly he was the same guy that was ruling on the LaVar contract issue. I remember everyone saying that Dan Snyder would pay him off to screw Arrington.

Honestly, it doesn't matter to me if TO plays or not. I just don't think the Eagles are that good. Yea he helps them out, but I don't think it's enough. They really should be 2-6, but you have the chargers who handed them a game and of course the chiefs have no defense so they gave up 40 pts to a team that everyone and their mom knows is going to throw the ball. It's all good though because it helps out the Broncos. The eagles are going nowhere. A lot would have to change for them to make a run and it will be hard to leapfrog any of the 3 teams ahead of them. Giants, Skins, Cowboys all look better than the eagles right now and have for the whole season for that matter.

TO will never see the Eagles sidelines, nor will he be cut this year. If (and a VERY big if) they were to rule in favor of TO, the Eagles will simply deactivate him for the remainder of the season and tell him to stay home. That's exactly what they did to MeShawn when he couldn't keep his mouth shut. It isn't a matter of whether he will be on the sidelines or not, it's whether the Eagles have to pay him and whether or not they can recoup part of his signing bonus.

Ralph Nader? WTF?

Who gives a crap what Ralphie Boy thinks about anything?

So what does El Rushbo think?

Never mind. Rushie probably thinks TO is over rated - for a black receiver.

Exactly, as much as the eagles want to get back at TO, nothing would be more of a nightmare than if he went to the Giants, Skins or Cowboys and that team won the NFC east while philly finished in last place. He's still arguably the best WR when he wants to be and the Eagles are scared
****less of him going to an NFC east rival

Johnson didn't file a grievance. If the Eagles are losing games, and paying TO $300,000 a game to NOT play, that's a distraction.

Exactly. And this gives him the perfect excuse to be an azz. Lets face it, TO has no problems OFF the field. No drugs, no sex scandles, no performance enhancing crap, nothing. He's clean as a whistle. So, he and his agent thinks, and rightly so, that he can bash the Iggles to pieces, verbally, because the Iggles cannot make a case that he is, "a bad person."

It's not an issue in D.C., really...stuff happens when recievers roam the middle with Lavar in the neighborhood. Problem solved!

For those that are wondering why this situation is not like Meshawn is because Meshawn was more then happy to just at home making his salary without playing so he never filed a grievance.

Apparently TO actually wants to play so he filed one.

Personally I don't think TO is that bad of a guy, just a dumb guy with a dumb agent...bad combo.

The eagles are going to have to cut him or play in four weeks. When he gets cut he'll go through waivers I believe. I wouldn't be suprised to see him get snatched by the Packers who have about 4.5 left in their cap. Heck I think Favre was asked about it earlier this week as well.

yeah they may force them to let him on the team, but it will just be like Keyshawn Johnson

they'll be forced to pay him, but they'll just deactivate him

So you don't think Washington was pretty fortunate to win that game against Philly on Sunday Night?

The turnover at the end of the half that didn't burn them?

Cooley's fumble on the five, which bounced right to a Redskin in the middle of five Eagles?

Or do these shouldas and wouldas only work in one direction?

I'm surprised the soulless, valueless trash at FOX haven't offered TO a gig yet.

On second thought, I'm sure its on the table, waiting.

Of course, the skins got lucky with that fumble. Yea that happens all the time. My point was that the eagles have gotten lucky in other ways. I mean to be down by 10 to san diego with like 2 min left and still win was crazy. To be down that much to KC AT ARROWHEAD and still win is also unlikely(well unless it is the chefs D i guess) All I'm saying is that these things are unlikely but they do even out because philly has now lost the last 2 games. I thought the skins played a better overall game. They made one mistake and that was when Marcus Washington called man to man D and Shawn Springs thought it was still zone so the Eagles got that first easy TD. Anyways, Im not nitpicking, my only point was that the Eagles aren't very good this year. Sure they have stretches where they look like the Eagles of old, but again my main point was that they are terrible this year.
