If we lose that's the season because we will be o-4 in the division, if we win then we still have an outside chance.

I would expect to see more of the big 4-3 defense and less of the big nickel, which could mean Brayton and/or Irons at OLB again. Even though I'm not a big fan of this defense I do think it is a good matchup vs. the Denver running game and play action passing game.

As for our offense, we better handle the blitz better than we did yesturday. Denver blitzes literally every play, and after they watch the tape of yesturday and see how we struggled against KC's blitz you can believe they will be coming frequently. Norv better do lot of screens, draws, slant and out routes and use the shotgun formation to give Kerry more time.

After last year's dismal Sunday nighter, I'm not ready to throw out too much smack here. I think that we'll win (the extra week probably cinches it), but I don't like to tempt fate.

Last year's Sunday Night game LOSS had serious repercussions . . . as in - WE PROLLY WOULDA WON THE DIVISION had we won that game.

And we had THREE CHANCES in the last 90 SECONDS:

1) - Fourth and goal - Todd Collins hits Porter in the back of the end zone . . .

2) - 45 seconds later - Darius Watts drops a tough, but catchable TD pass . . .

2) - Last second - some Raider rookie gets a mitt on Elam's FG attempt - which looked good from the end zone cam . . .

_______

With that kind of finish . . . who's to say?

The loss in Arrowhead didn't help our chances. I don't like the idea of playing an angry and frustrated Raider team in their own house. I do like that Shanahan has an extra week, though. I think the poor weather had more to do with equalizing our teams last year than them "matching up very well" against us. Shanahan gets up for Raider games, to hopefully that, the rest and the extra week help give us the edge.

This is a team that had high expectations this year and may be on the verge of folding. Yes they beat us in the snow, in our house, but we also beat them 30-3 in their house. Our team needs to kick it into final gear and this is the week to do it. 7-1 the second half. I believe that this team has a purpose. That purpose is to go into the AFC Championship game and keep Payton away from the SB. Every generation needs a Dan Marino, Payton owes it to the league to be the next great passer to go ringless.

Shanahan with two weeks to prepare for the hated Faiders? Are you joking?

The only thing that worries me is that I get the feeling Oakland is just going to air it out every series. If Coyer keeps man on Porter and Moss all day, it's going to suck.

If our defense can hold them to under 3 TDs, we win, period. No one has been able to stop our run game and I see no reason to think that Jokeland is any different than any other team we faced this year, save that they are probably the poorest fo the competition we have faced.

The honus is all on our defense though. If we lose, its because of them.

In my opinion, the next round of games against division opponents is a true test of what type of team the Broncos have. This team is either a legitimate SB contender or they are just the also rans of the last few years. Denver has to win out on the road against these teams. They have to put these teams away or we might as well let our focus be to root for Redskin opponents and start talking draft, salary cap and Shanahan. Very good teams simply win convincingly. They don't let up in the 4th quarter like Denver has done lately. The teams in the Bronco division are good teams and I think anyone in the division can beat them if they don't come ready to play. The last three years, the second half of the season has been marred with efforts seen in Miami this year. The post game interviews all look the same, with the heads hung low and the coulda, woulda shoulda's.

I was also shocked there was no blantant Homering, and Blind love.

Hopefully, the team comes off the bye fired up and not flat. I can't handle another game like the one last year.

They will air it out plenty, probably more so then any other team this year we've seen. Porter has caught some momentum and Moss is due to show up soon. Their 3rd WR Doug gabriel could be a big issue, I wouldn't be super-suprised if he leads the team in Yds. Hes pretty good, and won't be thought of as much in game planning. Collins seems to trust him as a crutch when the going gets tough.

But, Their O should bearly see the field if our round game does what it does.

Faider fan observations: Aw, h3ll, What do you think? They're going to say the Faides don't have a chance? The Faider fans said the same things about their games against the Chuggers and the mullets. They say the same things against any opponent the team has played. It is very repetitive, and nauseatingly so. It is as predictable as the mullets showing up here after a mullet win or a Bronco loss; most mullets only caw like crows, they don't talk. Fans getting hyped is not the game. Not even when the Broncos fans get hyped.

Mullets are here on a wishful thinking drill. They ought to be looking at the probable loss coming from the Bills next Sunday. (The Bills are rightfully favored.)

Like every game this season...

If we play well, we win.

If don't show up - we lose.

We have played great in every game but one (MIA), although we have had several 4th quarter defensive collapses. What gives me hope is we have only had that one game where we simply didn't get off the team bus. Lately that has been happening 3 or 4 times a year.

We should win, the Raiders simply aren't all that good.

To be honest, it's getting difficult to root for this team.

Turner sucks pole. I think I'd be happy if the team mailed it in at this point.

Having a chance is not the same as having a good chance. They have a chance, and nothing more. So does Denver.

I think Foxy has a chance to get his hands on a couple of Carrie Collins passes & becomes the difference in this game. Moss didn't show up for the Chef game until the very end he will either decide to play the game early or show up in the close game I am hoping we can pound the ball on them connect on some deep balls & outright run away with this game.

I'm fine with them mailing it in on all but the Donks and Bolts games....Surely your team has enough pride to want to at least win their 3rd division game in a three season stretch.

Nah, I'm pulling for 3-13 at this point and no better than 5-11.

There are only 2 games left we'll be favored in so 5-11 is the likely scenario IMO.
