Default Jake on the Dan Patrick show...

On radio. It was fairly brief, but Patrick asked a few questions. Here were Jake's answers.

Toughest opponent so far (hardest to beat) ...San Diego Chargers
Things that annoy him the most...when people call him a caretaker and that he's to avoid mistakes but not really contribute. He says he just laughs because people don't know what they're talking about. He also says he dosen't pay attention because the people saying these things aren't teammates or other nfl players.

What he does during the week...reads articles around the world, about different events and cultures. Reads the paper, skips through the sport section except for the box scores, looks for funny pics of his teammates in comics.

On the MVP voting thing. Patrick suggested he was a candidate, and Jake asked him if he were crazy. Said other players would easily be considered over him.

Not bad.

Nice to see that this run of success hasn't gone to his head.

Just keep winning, keep throwing TD's, keep the INT's to a minimum and keep out of the gossip columns and everything will be fine.

The one thing that always strikes me as funny is when an athlete or coach is asked whether or not he reads the sports section. Have you ever heard someone reply, "Why, yes! I read what they write about me every day!"

No, they always say they don't read that crap. But think about it. Who could really resist reading a summary about how you did your job this week - especially if you knew that all your friends and family were going to read it, too?

For all I know, Jake is probably reading this, too. Hi, Jake! Sorry about that thing with hanging out outside your house all the time. I would never do anything to hurt you, Jake. I just want to be your friend. Why'd you have to go and get the police involved, Jake? Why? A good friend would never let a little thing like a restraining order stop him. Are you just testing my loyalty? Because, I'm still here!

Hey, I thought dating that fox of a cheerleader was cool! What the hay! Didn't like the comment about us fans, but it must be a bxxxtch following Elway.

Like Plummer is going to get coccky, the dude knows how fast the Denver fans can and will turn on him if he blows a game. He's a great player, and doesn't get the respect and admiration he deserves from Bronco fans, and the national media. Although, it seems of late that is coming around. Keep it up Jake! You da man.
