I hate the bye week. I mean, it's good that the players get a break and all. I'm for that. Especially with Bailey, who needs to get healed up. But going a whole week without Broncos football is excrutiating for me.
That said, there will be some interesting stories to watch during week 9: Oakland vs. Kansas City Despite hating both of these teams, watching this game is always a treat. Sad as it is, I'll be forced to root for Oakland due to the fact that the Chiefs would only be one game behind us if they should win. Go Oaaaaa... Go Oaaakla... Ah screw it. LOSE CHIEFS! San Diego @ NY Jets On a two game losing skid, and with almost no hope of winning their division, the Jets look poised to give the Chargers a step back into the division race. With a win here, the Chargers are one game back from us, with us still travelling to San Diego later this year (December 31st to be exact). While it's unlikely the Jets can/will win this game, it's always fun to root for the underdog. Philadelphia @ Washington Both teams are at the bottom of their division at 4-3. That's a tight division. It's worth noting that the Redskins are on a two game losing skid, and still have to face Tampa Bay, Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis, Arizona, Dallas, the Giants, and Philly again. There's plenty of games to lose on that schedule! Indianapolis @ New England This, to me, has got to be considered the game of the year. The result of this game will send shockwaves throughout the rest of the AFC. This is one game that I don't plan on missing. It would be great to see New England bring Indy back down to earth! |

Being in fantasy leagues helps for the bye weeks but I'd rather not have them.
Actually, the Skins won the week before (49ers) but have lost 3 out of their last 4 ![]() |
