Default How good can the Broncos really be?

IMO they can be the best team in the NFL if they can show a little more consistency in the 2nd half of games on both sides of the ball.

We've all seen what our offense and defense can do for an entire half against teams, New England, Philadelphia, Kansas City.

If we can show the same consistency on the road and keep playing for an entire game we can be great.

Tatum Bell and Mike Anderson are the best running back tandem this league has seen in a long-time and look at the way Jake Plummer's playing, mistake free football.

The defense is putting pressure on but just not getting the sack numbers. How may times were Brady and McNabb on their asses in our games?

Young CB's making tremedous plays when at the start of the season they weren't expected to be even in there.

A Special Teams unit that is pinning teams back and making tackles when required.

Dont think I've been this hyped about a Denver team in a long-time although the second-half shenanigans need to stop otherwise I may not see out the rest of the season .

They have a chance to be the best Denver team since the Super Bowl team.

But that lack of concentration or whatever it is that allows those teams to get back in it are troublesome.

They did rebound today and made the big plays at the end.

One thing is, they have to keep winning to avoid another early round showdown w/ the Colts in the playoffs.

Cuz they are not going to lose for awhile (if they get past the Pats next week or in a couple of weeks, cant remember off the top of my head when that game is).

It will be important to take care the teams we have to take care of, such as Oakland, NY Jets and Baltimore. If we can get those 4 wins, that will take us up to 10 just by itself.

We are seeing the same team as last year , the only differense is all phases of the team is clicking .......... Last 2 years either the offense se=tepped up or the defense , but rarely did they step up at the same time ....... Now we are seeing it this year .... took awhile but now it is here .............The team all of us "Homers "knew the Broncos were ..........

If we play to our potential we should be 8-2 going into Dallas and then on to KC. Those 2 games are the most pivotal to where we'll rank going into the playoffs.

We certainly have the talent to be the #1 team in the league.

But the edge of talent in the NFL is minute. Every team is talented.

I pretty much think this about both our teams. I don't think anything means anything until at least a playoff game is won. Until then we are just a few teams that do good things and do nothing with them. This also ties into the whole media respect thing. I don't believe any of our teams deserve it.

Wow, this team can be phenomenol IMO.

Who expected 2 rookies to step up in the clutch? i didnt, thats for sure.

We have the best tandem in teh NFL, we have ran the ball on teams that were supposed to be a great run stoppers. Thos teams with good D's include Jax, Skins, and now the Eagles who dominated LT last week.

Plummer is playing very good. Us going for 4 three and outs in a row was very upsetting, but it can be fixed IMO. He is on target with his throws and still no pick for 6 games. That in itself is incredible.

If we can get a healthy Bailey for the second half of the year this team will be really firing on all cylinders.

It's an irritating cliche, but it works in this situation. The Broncos are only as good as their next game. We need to keep working to play as close to perfect football as humanly possible. We need to figure out why we are constantly outscored in the fourth quarter.

This team doesn't have "Championship" written all over it. It doesn't even have a Div Championship written all over it.

There's some little things that I don't like. One little thing that can be corrected is I see a tendency from some of the LB's and DB's to not hit hard after an O player has been touched. They tend to let him hit the ground on his own rather than dish out a hard tackle on a stumbling O player. Another little thing that can be corrected is the front four on the D it seems like once that big lead is given to them, they let the O-lineman get their arms and hand in on them, they don't fight quite as hard to get to the QB, they're not occupying the O-lineman well enough to let the blitzes get to the QB.

There's some other little things that might not be correctable, but I don't want to be negative. I'd be happy to see those two things corrected, because that can be important over the course of a game.

Overall, this is a pretty good Denver team. Better than any Denver team since 98, certainly, but they're facing some pretty good competition also. And they're gonna have to win on the road from here on. They're a good team that has to get just a little tougher. And let Champ heal up, they're gonna need him more later than they do right now.

12-4 is still right there for the team to take, but I'd like to see a liitle more toughness.

Denver was 10-6 in 2001, 10-6 in 2003 and 10-6 in 2004 and they are 6-2 this year. You can doubt and complain about your chefs but comparing them to the Broncos well, they just don't match up. Stop flattering yourself. The Chefs have more in common with Miami than they do the Broncos.

The Chiefs and Broncos have done the same thing over that span of time.

Nothing.

What do those things mean when you drop the ball in the playoffs? Thats my main point. It is funny hearing talk about all these grand things with the Broncos. Win a playoff game...and then start to think big. Until this is just leading up to another great team doing nothing.

You have had this quality for years. This doesn't stop you from dropping the ball against some team like Chicago in your own house...or Miami in the beg. of the season and so on...

I think the chefs just got owned by Sandy Eggo. That's like three wins in a row for the bolts against the chefs.

I'm thinking the chefs don't make the playoffs this year.

The Chiefs lost to the Chargers...a 8 point loss on the road = owning? Heh.

Again, AFC West games on the road...most of them are split. I would have liked a win more so because this game was very winnable. But the only game I really expect for the Chiefs to win on the road in this tough division is in Oakland.

If you look at the Chiefs schedule and some of the things they have done this year and still think they don't make the playoffs then I have given your takes way to much credit in the past.

Again with the tough schedule bs. I bet Sandy Eggo gets the Wild Card and KC gets early tee times this year.

Denver hasn't done sh_t but they have done twice as much as the Chefs. Don't bag on our team by comparing them to the Chefs. Like I said the Chefs have more in common with the Dolphins than the Broncos.

Niether did the 1996 Broncos , 2000 Ravens , 1983 Raiders , any Patriots team that won a SB,etc on down to the Jets ........
