Default Offense stole his thunder

It was crunch time. The brilliant Giant offense, the NFL's golden boy, the stage was set in the city that Broadway called home. There was no target more reliable or more deadly than Plaxicco Burress and Eli Seeked him out. The in pattern, the throw, and Champ Bailey picked him off. That was the game, that was the Championship defense shining through. That was an interception with just five minutes left at midfield.

But the offense took it away. There will be no talk of champ today, or the denver defense that held the Giants to just 177 yards of passing offense and forced a two turnovers had the game ended there.

No, it will all be about Manning. Not because of poor ref calls. But because the Denver "powerhouse offense" could not get but one first down to seal the game with all the moment in world on their side.
