Hard-hitting, dramatic well fought game. You guys are playoff bound again if you continue to pound the ball on the ground like that. Chins up.
Mike Anderson is the new Stephen Davis - best power runner not named Bettis, but even Bettis doesnt get the low pad level Anderson does. Very impressed. Your line is top 3 in run blocking easy. Those are FOOTBALL players right there. Said before, Shock and Plax are unique among all NFL teams in the matchup problem they create together. You can only choose to "take away" one, and pay the others price. Your DC's calls were not the problem - it was the matchups. Blitzing Eli more and allowing easy coverages to throw against would've been worse. Holding on DL not called? Nothing more than typical game I saw. Strahan is held 75% the time - a shock seeing him get a call today. Your DL depth will come into play late in the year. |

I totally agree about the matchup problems Shockey and Plaxico create. Some fans are going to rip Champ for the 1st quarter TD he surrendered, but Plaxico is just the bigger man, period. He's an Antonio Gates type freak at wide receiver.

Plax and Eli are going to be better than Peyton and Marvin.
You just can't teach the physical tools that Plax has. |
