I learned that, not surprisingly, Eli Manning has suddenly become an elite QB.

We need to play 4 quarters.
Getting out to a lead and holding on is not going to get in done. |

I learned that:
Holding is the new version of blocking. Broncos are not allowed in the same space as the opposing team Losing sucks much more when you own a team untill the last 10 minutes. Seriously, was I the only person screaming holding on the 35 yd completion to burress in the 4th quarter (force out call). Blatant, holding the guy by his elbow with 2 hands after he beat the lineman. #66 of the giants should of been flagged big time. |

Puts is working his ass off but he still isnt there ..........TE is what this team is lacking ..... but at least we didnt go run and shoot
Denver is moving the Ball very well without a dominate TE ...... Fixed alot of our redzone woes ...... |

I learned that We still have a ways to go get enough respect in the league TO GET A DAMN HOLDING CALL!!!
![]() I Learned that when we forget about running the ball to close out games, we make the games way to close and, sometimes, lose. I learned that the Broncos need to find a way to not let teams back in the game in the forth quarter when we have been kicking their arse all day long. I learned that I think forgot who Tatum Bell was, and that Mike Shanahan Definitely forgot who he was. I Learned that, even when at home, I will never not wear my AL WILSON jersey ever again. I learned that this loss was my fault because I didn't wear my Al Wilson Jersey... |

*** Jake is capable of taking this team to the SB, but when we are ahead, their is no reason to duck away from the run that has been working so well.
*** Can we get a holding call please? *** Putz is a great weapon, and we need to use him more. *** Coyer obviously doesnt trust the young db's because playing off hurts us when we blitz. |

I learned that more than any other team over the years, this team is fodder for young quarterback "break out games," including Ryan Leaf, who this team made look like a future HOF just a few years ago. I will state that Sunday was different, as E. Manning will be an elite QB for years to come.
I learned that "Playing not to win" will eventually catch up with you and bite you in the behind. I learned that Phil Simms was stupid when he said that quarterback pressures are as good as sacks. If you will remember early in the fourth quarter when Manning was facing all that pressure, he was less effective, throwing balls into the sidelines. He looked disgusted and was being beat up pretty good. He was limping and looked like he wanted to crawl back to mommy. Had one of those pressures had become a tough, hard sack I really believe he would have been done for the day. We would have finished him off just like the boxer who delivers the knockout blow. But instead we decided to start playing a "prevent defense" and without the pressure he was allowed a few short passes that eventually became longer passes, first down passes and eventually game winning passes. Our playcalling against him at the end of the game truly thrust his career. I learned that in football terms, "playing not to win," "not being able to finish an opponent" and fading in the fourth quarter are all the same thing. I think we only need a couple of playmakers to really make this team special. Defensively, we need a D lineman that can close down that quarterback with a late sack. I feel that talent was there yesterday, but that isn't going to happen in a prevent defense. We stopped blitzing and Manning had a little more time to operate. I am a fan of the Putz, but yesterday's game could had easily been closed with a McCaffrey or Sharpe in the lineup. But we don't have that type of player/closer anymore, or at least they are still developing. Rod Smith is, but we need another one on the field. I want to see someone who wants the ball, and when the ball is in the air, they will fight for it. I have been getting sick of all the mock draft prognosticators who yearly predict that the Broncos will pick a tight end. They are starting to do it again, and maybe they are right. I know many of you want a stud tackle, a wide receiver or a safety including as one of those two tops picks. But if Leonard Pope of Mercedes Lewis are available when we pick, I hope they are ours. Thanks for letting me vent. |

That was one of the most blantat missed calls in the game. It looked the OL was holding onto Warren by the neck hole in his jersey. I can understand missing the occasional holding that might be at the line with so many bodies so close together, but missing a blantant hold on the only DL getting pressure is entirely different. |
