Default Coyer lost the game

That's all you can say. 23-10 in the 4th. Coyer made terrrible call after terrible call. 5-2 sucks.

This "almost getting to the quarterback" defense was starting to concern me. I knew it would catch up with us eventually, and today it did. I'm not sure how you fix that. Given, our guys were being held pretty badly all day, but you've got to put a QB on his back a couple of times a game if you're a serious defense.

It's only one game and the Giants have one of the best offenses in the league. But, it does illuminate some potential problems for this defense.
If Eli did that to us at crunch time, what's big brother going to do?

We had no sacks...
...and it sucks that we lost the fumble/int record on the last play...

On the positive side...it wasn't Jake...and he had no INTS.

Well I'm glad the board is working again for starters.

Now, something has got to be said to the officials. It is getting beyond crazy that they will not throw a flag for offensive holding but yet they felt the need to call a chop block on a punt. Then they call the PI on the wrong player and for the wrong team.

Finally, I'm sick and tired of Shanny and Coyer going conservative when he have a good lead. You can never score enough points in a game. Stop with the BS and try to score on every possesion.

I want to know how the Broncos can lead the league in hurries, have a crap load of knockdowns, but can't get a sack to save their lives.

I think this game shows how bad we need to upgrade S position. I think OL WR TE upgrades also needed. We are not getting enough production out of TE and WR's at crunch time.

That's because of our spectacular pass coverage

Indeed, Fergy was completely lost. Not to mention Lynch is the most one dimensional player in the league.

Perhaps Denver should move Lynch to LBer and put Cox out there at Saftey.

I don't think the players decided to bring only 3 rushers in the 4th quarter.

I don't remember that play specifically, but Fergy having his statue moment was fantastic.

He had the position to make a move, but just stood there.

What's with the "prevent' mode...you'd think they'd have learned after NE almost came back and beat us last week.

...and I'm not blaming it all on refs...just saying they could have at least called them both ways.

Bailey intercepts the ball at the most crucial point in the game. We go three and out. Coyer's head is immediately called for.

Brilliant!

Unfortunately, you'd be taking a better player off the field unless we played some kind of mutant 4-4. Although Lynch is pretty much playing as a lber now...

One defensive play call that I absolutely can't believe we kept using was a double corner blitz with DWill and Champ...we took our two best cover corners out of coverage for slow blitzes.

I blame him and Shanny. I still don't understand spreading out Bell wide to be covered by a CB and then to throw the ball to him. We only needed like 3 yards. If Mike or Bell can't get that by running, then they are not gonna get it by a pass to them.

You were pleased with defensive playcalling on the game winning drive TJ? I didn't like the 3 and out after a huge turnover either, but for us to get out of our defensive game plan at the end of the game was a HUGE mistake, IMO.

How bout just pulling Lynch out on 3rd downs when we know they will pass and then put Cox in? I mean, something else has got to work because the safties aren't getting it done.

Now that I would go along with in a heartbeat.
