I just can't get on board that it is any good. No sacks, no picks, too many penalties, and WRs running free through the secondary.

We don't play impressively at all.
But somehow we get it done. Alot of sloppy football, but still get it done. I wonder how long it will last. |

I wonder how long the NFL can go without calling holding.....it's beyong blatant...and the reason balls are getting thrown downfield at all.

It sure is ugly Herc. No unit has played well, there have been horrible calls and No calls. There was one hlding penalty and two disregarded holding penalties. CHAMP has been called for three penalties when he never gets called for any.
UGLY. |

yeah, I don't really like to blame officiating, but it is getting really old. You can go back and watch 80% of the long pass plays against Denver in the last few games and count the holding non-calls, blatant non-calls. I had to laugh earlier in today's game when the anonnouncer mentioned a flag in the area of holding, then the ref came on and announced there was no foul on the play.

I wish I had time to go through the game and make some screenshots of the holds that went uncalled in this game. I did post one (crappy) pic of a Giant linemen catching a free sled-ride behind Pryce on the Burress bomb that set up their score.
Shanahan isn't likely a favorite among the NFL brass, but it still might be worth making a plea to the front office. It can't be coincidence that we're leading the league in ****ing QB pressures but can never quite get a sack. I counted 3 blatant holds that went uncalled today, and there were probably more. Like I said before, all fans b**** about refs. But, calls usually even out... and they'll usually call the same penalty the same way on both teams. (We saw both teams get nailed for PI today.) But, either there is something about the NFL holding rule that I don't understand, or the refs are looking the other way. |
