Are the Denver Broncos going to further enhance their standing as one of the top teams in the NFL by knocking off the New York Giants?

They should.

The Broncos have gone a long way with one of the most basic formulas that there is for football success -- running and stopping the run.

It won't be easy for them to do either on the road, but they are up to the challenge. The Broncos should be able to mount an effective rushing attack against an average Giants run defense, and, in turn, keep Jake Plummer out of unfavorable down-and-distance situations. Plummer has become a much more effective passer with Tatum Bell and Mike Anderson forcing defenses to respect their considerable combined talents on the ground.

Chris Pokorny is on the bandwagon as well

Denver Broncos vs. New York Giants
Last week in my predictions, I finally gave Plummer credit and predicted him to have a good game. I was right, but I still picked against the Broncos. This week, I've finally turned full circle and now believe that the Broncos are indeed a good team. The Giants offense could not produce at all after a bye week, and it won't be too easy against the Broncos. Denver wins late in the game.

I don't like all the attention. It's like the SI jinx. As soon as people notice you have something rolling and start paying attention, that's when things go south.

Good blurb on Denver

SoCals link:http://www.abqtrib.com/albq/sp_colum...176498,00.html

Steer clear of the Broncos. Jake Plummer is playing the best quarterback of his career - and putting up the worst numbers. With Denver going to a ball-control offense, Jake the Snake is no longer a pocket-fleeing gunslinger. That's great for fans but bad for owners. The running game there has been excellent as well, but you never know from week to week who their top back will be. Suddenly Tatum Bell is looking like the hoss.. . . but Mike Anderson is listed as the starter. Even lead-footed Ron Dayne has looked like Emmitt Smith once or twice this season, and that fact alone should befuddle anyone, and keep them away from this team.

Do you guys realize how much TODD SAUERBRUN has helped in pulling back the reins on Plummer. If we are put in a tough position Shanny no longer puts it all on Jake. The first write-up mentioned putting Jake in tough positions. He's been there! We're not getting great 3rd down conversions, but we're not making mistakes. Shanny simply says don't turn the ball over and we'll let Todd kick it deep...and he has!

Agreed, but Jake is doing a bang up job as well. On two seperate occasions back to back last week, we were pinned inside the ten and drove down for TD's. In years prior we would have had Knorr punt his booming 35 yarder to put the patties in excellent FP (where my agreement comes from).

I predicted all these clowns that laughed at all the DL moves and Dayne would be eating crow...notice none of them really want to admit they were wrong about the Browncos and Engleberg Humperdick.

They all want to talk about our offense...the tandem RB's, lack of turnovers...anything but our DL moves, which were summarily dismissed...even Bang got his shots in with Bronco Billy.

They are all jumping on the ship like starving rats at the pier, afraid they will miss the boat...trust me, if we lose, they will jump ship like it's a burning wreck with holes at the waterline. They are all a bunch of hacks IMO.

PFT's ramblings have been so absurd he's been literally unreadable, even as comedy...he's one bitter dude.

Its only a problem when the players start believing it.

Denver (5-1) at New York (3-2)
I know, I know. You're all calling this a trap game for Denver. East Coast trip, pretty good opponent, Broncos coming down after a big win over the Patriots. Not now. Jake Plummer's not going to fail the way he did the last few years. He won't turn it over.
Denver 19, Giants 17

Brian Tarcy is NOT on the bandwagon

BRONCOS AT GIANTS – Jake Plummer shows those flashes of brilliance while Eli Manning has brilliant flashes and you can count on ex-jock TV analysts to give you thoughts like this. Count on a late Plummer interception. Giants 27, Broncos 24

Brian Tracy is the only smart one in the pack. We do not have a chance in the world against the New York Football Giants. They will play tiny Tom Coughlins against us and still win 67-4.

Thank you, finally a guy not trying to kerj the mojo around.

But in saying that this is a vet team, and they seem to be focused on each game.
