Default Vid/Pics: My field trip to Mile High (Broncs/Pats)

What a blast.

Thanks to all involved for the great pre-trip advice, accommodations while there, etc... and of course, special thanks to the young lady for making all of this happen for us. Best b-day present ever.

Now, I bore you with pictures...

I'll posts some stills shortly.

High Speed Connection Slideshow (DSL/Cable)

***THIS WILL TAKE ABOUT 5 MIN TO LOAD on an average hi-speed. Be patient, it's a fairly large file.

Smaller, Lower Quality Slideshow

***Smaller, better for dail-up.

OF1 was even better than advertised. We got the tour and were thoroughly impressed... jealous... and a range of other emotions.

I can't remember the result of that play. It wasn't one of the big ones, but it was a nice completion. I think it was a sideline pass to Smith. (Could have been Lelie)

Tailgaters of all makes/models. Great crowd. I think they said it was the 4th largest in Bronco history.

Yea, that's the converted Portis jersey. Hey.. I had one when it wasn't cool!
(Props to Mom.) I actually like it better than the store bought ones. The letters look sewn on... kind of old-school.

iMovie.

It looks better in the full quality DVD, but it's too big to post anywhere. I started doing it in Flash, but it takes too damned long. (For me, anyway.)

Hey man...

Thanks, yourself! Great meeting you, Crusher, Disco, Dusty and anyone I'm forgetting. I'll get out to the tailgate earlier, next time. Underestimated the traffic/parking a bit.... but still had a couple hours to enjoy ourselves before the game, pick her up a new Broncos shirt, etc.

Make sure you have Quicktime installed. It's a free download. It should play fine as long as you do.

What a beautiful stadium. I realize it's a long way from having the magic/history of Mile High, but it's really an amazing facility. Everything about it is so accommodating to the experience... from parking, to tailgating, to concessions, etc. I've seen pro games in 4 other stadiums, and Invesco put them all to shame.

I spent an entire QUARTER the last time I was at Qualcom getting one beer and visiting the restroom. Sunday, I'd leave to do both and be back in my seat within 10 minutes, tops.

Tons of space out front for fans to mingle. I love the fact that people were just laying in the grass in front of the stadium, chilling, etc.

Just a fantastic facility.
