Notre Dame at 16 is a bit surprising. Thought they´d be ranked higher.

How TT is ranked seventh is just absurd.

What a bunch of cow dung. USC is not the number 1 team in the nation. They proved it on Sat the only thing that changed it was the officials. I am going to watch the last 3 minutes of the game with a college conference director of officals tomorrow for a class I am taking. I've looked at it three times and seen 7 major mistakes by the officiating crew, all of which were to the advantage of USC.

Wow...Can't believe CU is ranked that high.

ND is going to get screwed by the BCS.

How so...

What is the BCS?

The BCS is an agreement between the BCS and the 6 major conferences...and one other group...that's right ND....

ND gets an automatic bid if they're in the top ten.....so don't give me this "weep for ND" stuff.

The Hokies still have to play 3 teams(third might be FSU in ACC Championship game) in the top 15 as of right now....if they win out and their strength of schedule holds up.....don't be surprised if they pass up USC and Texas.

Well USC has a much tougher schedule then Texas so I wouldn't be suprised to see USC and VT end up in the championship game.

Oh yeah.....they get an automatic at-large bid. That's how they got to play Oregan State a few years ago instead of the Hokies despite being a completely lesser team. An OS showed everybody.

I said this last year....all I care about anymore is the conference championship....the rest is just a party. If I get to go to Miami or the Rose bowl this december then so be it....just as long as we win the ACC Championship. But the Hokies will need to play better before that happens. We need to tackle better on defense and take care of the ball on offense.

Notre Dame also gets an automatic at-large bid if they win 9 games or more. They´ve got home games against Tennessee, Navy and Syracuse left as well as a road game at Stanford.

Georgia is in deep **** if Shockley is out. They barely held on to beat Arkansas.

Exactly. There's never been an official Division 1-A National Champion. It's always been subjective. Conference championships are the only thing football teams can control.

Auburn should have no regrets about their 2004 season.

Florida's offense hasn't shown up against the SEC powers, i.e. Tennessee, Alabama and LSU. Georgia has the talent to win on the defensive side alone. Mark Richt is as good as any coach in college football at controlling the tempo of the game.

Yep, if ND wins 10 games or is in the top 10 at seasons end, they get 1 of the at large bids to a BCS game.

I have not seen UCLA play all year. Are they for real. I am happy for Carl Dorrell's success - he's a class act.

I saw them once in person during their first game of the season and haven't seen them since. They usually play on TBS or on a west coast ABC affiliate but they never provide HD telecasts which is a big turnoff when CBS and ESPN are showing SEC/ACC showdowns in that format.

It's great to see one of Denver's old coaches succeed at Westwood. When you watch UCLA's offense, they are the college football version of the Broncos.

How is USC"s schedule tougher than Texas's? Then only legitimate tough games that USC plays this year is ND and UCLA. Texas went to Ohio State and won, and Tex Tech is no slouch. A&M isn't an easy win either. Granted texas gets to play Baylor and OU was prettymuch like walkin down the hall. I think if anything the schedule is draw.

If you are going to say Texas has it difficult with A&M, you better give USC some credit for beating Oregon (#14 in both polls) and going to Berkeley later in the season (#21 USA Today/24 AP).
