Default So I woke up to Sports Center this morning

To see highlights of the Broncos - Pats game. It was the first NFL game they covered, and the second story only to the Chi Sox going to the Series for the first time since forever.

They show Denver's big plays, the Pats big plays, and then the post game commentary. They interviewed Pats players, talked about Bruschi, talked about the Pats bye week, and showed stats regarding the decline of the Pats defense. They ended the segment with Andrea Kramer standing in the Broncos endzone talking about the ailing Pats.

Not one of the non-highlight comments was about Denver! I was amazed. The media is still overlooking us. How about a comment on what was going right for Denver - not what was wrong with New England. No comment on Jake's solid play. No comment on our stretch without a turnover. No comment on how badly we abused Brady yesterday.

The "experts" are still overlooking us. I fully expect for 6 of 8 of the ESPN Pro's to pick us to lose in NY this weekend.

And, honestly, thats just fine. The more they overlook us, the better our boys play. This could be the chip on their shoulder that propels them to a better than 10-6 season and a first round thumping.

It does make me wonder, however, they can continue overlooking us (provided we continue to keep winning).

Oh how I love it. It's far better to be under the radar...I love my friend's calling every week, leaving cute little messages for me on Sunday about how the "Bronx are goin' down!" or any other silly sh*t smack. Then of course we DRUDGE the teams that are supposed to kill us, and they eat their crow.

Well, there's plenty to go around my friends. Step up, come one, come all...I've got plenty of crow to go around and the grill's all fired up.

I loved that huge Daniel Graham lickfest that went down in the 2nd quarter. The Pats were down 21-3 and we're talking extensively about the toughness of their TE?

I totally agree that it makes little difference whether anyone on ESPN talks about the Broncos. Most of those "intellectuals" are still miffed that the trades with the Browns actually panned out for the Broncos. Further, the Broncos are winning and the Pats are not. (I liken that to the same sort of phenonmena of the "Dam(n) Yankees" and the Eastern Media mentality of a few years ago. Frankly, I hope several of the Pats' media ho's drown in their bowls of chowder today.) Be that as it may, it feels good to see the final score, doesn't it? Who cares if the media wants to admit it or not? As long as the league counts it as a win, **** the media.

Well, like it or not folks. If you look at the last three seasons New England being 3-3 is a bigger story than Denver being 5-1.

I don't see how anyone is suprised by this. They're the defending champs. Denver hasn't done **** in years. Before everyone starts jumping on me id say the same thing if the Chiefs were 5-1.

On one hand you have a team slipping that has had a dominating strangle hold on the NFL and on the other you have a team that has done nothing in recent memory and has taken 5-1 records and turned them into nothing.

In the end I think all the media attention pans out as it should.

I am glad they don't get the coverage.....keep underestimating the Broncos, it only adds fuel to the fire.

You think? This has been going on for a while now.

Methinks the idea stated above is over rated and has little real impact.

I do, the last couple of wins all the pundits have spoken about is how the team lost, not how the Broncos found the way to win.

NE is a coastal team with a big market, and the SB champs. Denver is a middle-country team in a smallish market that has just gone 5-1 for the 3rd straight year. Not surprised at the coverage focus.

I do remember the few years after the SB wins that Denver got more than its allotment of national press. So it goes with the territory.

But in the end, who cares!

I really don't give a rip what the media thinks. I just want to see more Broncos highlights. You can't get enough of those. The "experts" can have a can of STFU, just show the highlights.

And my point is this has been going on for years for both of our teams. This isn't new. What has come of it?
