The alignment was a 4-3 that covered each of the offensive interior linemen with a defensive player, and would place both OLBs on the same side. Shame on you. You ought to know things like this.

Dr. Z's an aZZ. So was Buddy Ryan.

Why do I care how the defensive scheme was named? I don't...

If Coyer know's what to do, that's all that matters. He can call his 46 the "tinkie winkie" defense as long as it works.

I think you misunderstood my smilie.

This was the blurb out of his power ranking comment about Denver. I was under the impression that that blurb was for WHY they are ranked where they are. This has nothing to do with anything.

Yep. Dr. Z is making something out of nothing. Maybe he just needs something to b!tch about since the Broncos don't have a losing record to make fun of.

Zzzz has a problem with any team west of the mississippi...the guy is a homer beyond belief. He picked Carolina to win the SB, so he can't nail Denver for losing at Miami...because Carolina did the same thing. Ooops.

Too bad he has a HOF vote, because he uses it to get HIS guys on and keep deserving players off. What a stooge.

I hate Dr Z like no other, but he's correct about this. I laughed when I heard someone refer to the 46, but I didn't realize it was Coyer who said it. It obviously doesn't matter, but its surprising, considering how long Coyer has been in the League.

I still have the 1986 pre-season preview where Dr. Z picked Denver vs NYG in the superbowl, with NYG winning...

Typical. Instead of printing Coyer had the foresight to employ a scheme which would be effective against a Gibbs' offensive he tut tuts about the semantics.

What a schmuck.
