Default Tom Jackson's "Monday Night Countdown" Fab 5

Bascially Tom said his Top 5 are...

1.Colts
2. Broncos
3. Pats
4.Steelers
5.Bengles

He also mentions something about the Broncos looking alot like the 98' squad if Plummer stays under control. I don't know if i'll go that far just yet. We need to get a LOT better offensively if we want to be like the 98' team.

I'd put the Steelers ahead of us but we are #3 IMO

Bronco also #4 in Jaws opinion. Michael Irvan didn't think we were top 5

I'll bet the Cokeboys somehow slipped into Irvin's top 5.

Nope all AFC teams had the chargers instead of us.

This Sunday will basically tell us and the rest of the world how good the team is.

Just like last Sunday was Washington's "Prove It" game, this Sunday will be ours. A win would basically prove it, but even a loss, as long as we're in the game, it's competitive, etc, will go a long way in proving ourselves.

Come Playoff time it's all going to depend on Home field advantage...

Colts - in their house...More of the same i fear.
Bengals - We just can't seem to play there
Pats - Something tells me the "Tuck" rule doesn't go our way there
Steelers - assuming there is no coaching change were fine

Point is we need to work real hard at getting a game or 2 at home. None of those teams scare me in our backyard!

While I like your logic, I would say this. What scares me personally is US in our own backyard.

I mean, what good is having Peyton Manning here in the snow in January if we can't play in the snow in January? The knock on Indy is that they can't go somewhere cold and win, obviously. But, we haven't proved that we can win in the snow and cold either.

We sucked it up against Oakland last year, and Sunday's performance in the rain, although it got us a W, doesn't have me all that excited either.

I agree homefield advantage is huge for any team, but I think we have a lot to prove ourselves in winning in unfavorable conditions.

I see what you mean, and agree... Then again i've seen what happens in Indy twice already. I'm afraid a third installment of that might just kill me! What ever it is we need at least 1 playoff game at home. Hopefully that will help to get the proverbial monkey off our back.

Oh believe me, you're preaching to the choir on that one. I don't care if we play in a dirt lot, as long as we don't have to play in that god-forsaken RCA dome in Indy. I'd just like us to learn how to play in poor weather better.

So it's settled 13-3 should get the job done... now how the hell do we get there.

I dont see how that game would "prove it" anymore than a convincing road win at Jacksonville, a tough win over San Diego, and a convincing win over KC on MNF. That KC game is probably the only one that the pundits have seen.

Beating the champs would set us up for the homestretch after the bye week. We will play NY and Philadelphia before then and a win this week would give us some breathing room in the conference.

The reason I would call it a prove it game is because, after week 1, we were left for dead. After that, we had to prove we even belonged in the league. A couple quality wins showed we were better then that first week.

Now, after going for 4 straight wins, the Broncos are getting press, and here we can prove if we deserve to be mentioned with the Indy's, NE's, and Pitsburgh's or not.

15-1 will get the job done otherwise we are going to have to go to Indy, period. Have you seen that schedule? Ridiculously easy.

We can't change Indy's schedule...they play the NFC west, some AFC west to create damage, and some AFC south. Schedules are not weighted like they were before the re-alignment.

We had an easier schedule last year and blew it totally.

The league continues to bend over backwards to get Gayton a ring. If they are in that dome for the entire AFC playoffs they arent going down. No matter what. What a crock.
