Well I got this neighbor that insists she have 20 damn cats, I have no problem with cats personally but 20 of them?
Well heres the deal, bout 2 months ago I went to the garage and smell cat ****, took the water hose out and removed cat **** from the garage, neighbor was out in the yard, told her she needs to do something about the cats, she got mad, her druggie husband bowed up at me because she was mad, bout had a knock down drag out with him, cooler heads prevailed, we haven't spoken since but I told them to do something about them or I will. I guess they assumed I would kill them which I would never do so I called animal control today after 2 months on waiting for action, they gave her 7 days to get every cat spayed or neutered or the cats would be confiscated, now they are really pissed at me but hwho cares, this is my house I pay mortgage on, I work my ass off in the yard, keep it clean , I be damned if I want to walk thru runny cat **** . The cats are sick, they must have worms, they **** on the concrete and its not solid it's runny, cats also walking on my new cars, I can't even leave my garage door open unattended anymore. The Animal control officer has told me he will provide a cat trap for me and put it on my property and when a cat gets in he will come get it and if they touch or tamper with the trap they will be charged by the city. I told him only if she gets all them cats vaccinated spayed/neutered (which I know she won't) will I put a cat trap in the yard. Anyhoo, I am not arguing with the guy, I am just going to let the law handle it and if he runs his mouth to me from his side of the fence I am just going to call the law and let them handle it. Enough is enough Anybody see anything I am doing wrong here |

That's a really inhumane situation for those cats. I can't believe Animal Control didn't just throw them all in the truck.
Sounds like you've done everything right. You also might want to try to touch base with the other neighbors around this nut's house and see what they've been experiencing. If they've also had problems, multiple complaint filings may be what it takes to get something done. Plus, if these people are as bonkers as they sound, it'll be good to have some other people on your side... witnesses, etc. |

Just wanted to say what a bummer that is. Cats suck anyway. They **** and piss on everything and nothing smells worse. Tell your neighbor to stick it.
Some jackass around here has a ton of cats and now there are a ton more. We got so sick of them coming over and ****ting in my flower beds and pissing on everything they could find, my husband had it. He got his dad's live trap and trapped them and took them about 15 miles down the road and let them go in the woods. His dad just kills them if he catches them, but I cannot stand the thought of that, so I made him promise to just get rid of them. Good luck, RR. Hope you have some industrial strength stink remover. Oh and maybe ask your little girl and make sure that she's never messed with them in case they do have worms or something worse. I know cats can carry some nasty stuff, worms being the least of your worries. |

Sounds like you did all you can. Get a dog to get rid of the cats from your property and teach him "chopper sic balls"(Stand by Me) for that drugged out husband who gives you hell

Slingshots are oddly effective and great timekillers.

No way dude, i love cats as well but people tend to bite off more than they can chew and if these morons cant keep the cats in line or taken care of than it really leaves you no choice. hopefully, they wont get nasty and try to damage anything of yours or physically try to harm you but like you said, enough is enough. |

Will get them good and mad today, Animal Control told them I could not trap them myself and she thinks that it means she can have as many as she wants and I can't do anything about it, well he failed to tell her that HE has to be the one who brings and sets up the traps, I supply the food for it when he gets here and when a cat gets trapped, I call him to take it to the shelter, of course the lady can go get that cat back for 30 bucks though but between 15 + cats and 30 bucks a pop me don't think it will be long until she gives up.
Wish me luck, Thanks for the advice RR |

Break out your stereo system, point the speakers toward the offending neighbors.
buy Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music....pop it into the player, hit repeat, crank the volume all the way up and then leave for the day. Not only will it take care of your neighbors, their cats and make their lawn die....but they'll think twice about screwing around with you in the future. The fine you will have to pay for disturbing the peace will be cheap all things considered. I've broken many a lease by doing that back in the day.....it works extremely well ![]() Here's an AMG review of the offending masertwork (in case you never heard of it's legend): Review by Mark Deming One would be hard-pressed to name a major artist who ever released an album as thoroughly alienating as Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music; at a time when noise rock and punk had yet to make their presence known, Reed released this 64-minute aural assault that offered up a densely layered soundscape constructed from feedback, distortion, and atonal guitar runs sped up or slowed down until they were all but unrecognizable. Metal Machine Music seems a bit less startling today, now that bands like Sonic Youth and the Boredoms have created some sort of context for it, but it hasn't gotten any more user friendly with time — while Thurston Moore may go nuts on his guitar like this for three or four minutes at a stretch, Metal Machine Music goes on and on and on for over an hour, pausing only for side breaks with no rhythms, melodies, or formal structures to buffer the onslaught. If you're brave enough to listen to the whole thing, it's hard not to marvel at the scope of Reed's obsession; it's obvious he spent a lot of time on these layered sheets of noise, and enthusiasts of the violent guitar freakout may find it pleasing in short bursts. But confronting Metal Machine Music from front to back in one sitting is an experience that's both brutal and numbing. It's hard to say what Lou Reed had in mind when he made Metal Machine Music, and Reed has done little to clarify the issue over the years, though he summed it up quite pointedly in an interview in which he said, "Well, anyone who gets to side four is dumber than I am." For the record, I did get to side four. But I got paid for it. Last edited by Hogan11; 10-14-2005 at 07:22 AM.. |
