Default Cheers or Boo's for Clinton Portis?

I know he wasn't a model Bronco, and a contrast to the modest Terrel Davis. I know he wore pink shoes and too much jewelrey.

But has he said or done anything to offend the organization? No. He worked hard for the Broncos, helped us reach the playoffs twice, and when we decided to trade him he didn't show any sign of resentment.

I hope Mile High shows some class and when his name comes over the loudspeaker, people clap.

Save the boo's for Eddy Kennison.

I have a feeling we'll be hearing boo's instead. What do you think will happen?

check out the about 30 different threads about this....no one has a problem with CP, it was his agent that everyone disliked...

Could care less. It's Atwater's Day. Save the cheers for him.

It's Terrell.

Show some respect.

The Boo Birds will be out on Sunday.

Loved and still love the trade myself ( that was forced by CP ).

I like it from a personnel standpoint and from the standpoint that if Shanahan gave in he would have had a line of players out of his office looking to tear up their contracts by now.

He's a Skin now .... so i'll BOO.

Remember the article in the WP ( i think ) before the HOF game? That should get you fired up enough to Boo him if nothing else.

He disses our fanbase of all things.

He'll get booed as a matter of course, but not with the passion that Eddie Kennison gets booed.

Portis has never had a bad thing to say about Denver, that I can recall. He just wanted more money and more media attention. We got fair compensation in return, and I don't see any reason to be bitter about any of it.

Bull****. Portis said something along the lines that the fans never truly supported him and that we were all still waiting for Elway to come back.

CP re-wrote the book on Flava Clown. In a strage bizzaro world, you almost have to admire that.

While it's true he's an attention whore and a womanizer, he's never gotten into trouble...loves his mom...never found himself in the drug program. There certainly are bigger thugs out there than CP. He's more clown than criminal. I honestly don't see reason one to boo him. He wanted to get paid, and he was playing at a very high level for us and got us fair value in trade. He wasn't the first, nor will be the last to whine for a new contract.

I think the "Belt" put Shanahan into a fit. Still, I don't hate CP...He always gave 110% on the field and kept his nose clean off it. I'm just hoping he doesn't run wild on us on Sunday.

I'll cheer for him when he comes on the field. After that, no way.

In his time here, he was the most exciting thing going for Broncomania since Elway left. That, and he always left the cleaning crew busy picking up KC team jocks after games with them.

That 5 TD night was a treasure I'll always remember.

That, I'd have to agree with. While the flavor act is tiresome now, it wasn't out of control (save for the belt episode) and even entertaining at times while he was here.
