I should've tried this before, making a new thread. I'm sure it'll be swamped by the smack, but here's to trying.
I have to head out to a pee wee game, soon. |

A novel idea. I give it 10 posts before it turns into troll central or a attempted smack off.
The Broncos will eek out a close one. Elam needs to be clutch this weekend. No more misses!! |

Thanks, appreciate it. The other threads have calmed down now. I thinks it's all pretty much been said anyways. I'll come back to this thread on Monday.

Ah, okay, I'll try this one out. I've attempted a little conversation in the others, but it tends to get drowned out.
This is simply a game of defenses. Anyone on this board claiming Denver is gonna suddenly have some super offensive explosion has blinders on. Of course if they do you guys are geniuses, and I'm all for that. Denver has improved steadily on offense, but I'm sorry Jacksonville is no Washington D. The Skins play a very disciplined form of defense, Denver plays a deceptive counter balance form of offense. A Disciplined Defense can stop us. Of course I'd love to be wrong. Denver's Defense is showing signs of elitism, even better than last year at this time. We all remember that we did end up with cracks in the defense last year though. I do feel much better with these guys though. The Skins don't seem to know much about D-Will (or at least the fans don't) and that's fine, I think it's his turn for an int. I expect this one to be close, but I also expected Jacksonville to be close or a loss. If the defense keeps the same intensity, This is Denvers. |

I like the Broncos chances in this one. They've squeaked by a couple weak opponents in the NFC on their way to 3-0. I think they're in for a very unpleasant introduction to their first AFC opponent this year...™

Okay then, only one Skins fan post in the non-smack thread.
Now what logical conclusions can we draw from this... ? Anybody? Anybody? Buhler? Anybody? |

This game is gonna be a tough one. The skins will come in fired up that everyones calling them the worst 3-0 team in the nfl. (which is true whether they like it or not).
Denver has to play disciplined. The skins will attack the secondary they think is weak, but lynch and fergy cant bite on any PA and stay home and we will be ok. Heres to an injury free game. |

I still not sold on the skins d-line. I know statically their good, and watching the games they put a real good effort on the field, but I don't see any play maker there. Lots of the pressure is caused by the LBs. Griffen had good year, but I think he can be blocked and that the entire team can beat on PA.

You know what's funny?
The Redskins fans and Liberals are no different, both bring up the past which has nothing to do with the present. ![]() |

I'm going to this game with my Redskins buddy... I was talking with him last night, and I think we both came to the agreement that if the Redskins can stop the Denver running game and force Denver to pass, then they have a good shot at winning this game. However, if the Broncos are able to run on the Skins, it's going to be a long day for them.
Of interest is the Lavar Arrington situation. Apparently the guy has been sitting out most of the game, and no one seems to have a good answer why. I'm thinking it's another vindictive move on the part of Gibbs, ala what happened to Patrick Ramsey... but that's just a guess. I can't say that I'm terribly afraid of the Redskins offense. They don't seem to understand how to effectively use Portis... Brunell reminds me of Trent Green, and if you can rattle his cage a bit, he'll throw some weak balls. I watched the Redskins win against the Cowboys, and it was one of the ugliest wins I've ever witnessed in my life. It was as if they had no hope all game long, and at the end threw up some desperation passes that miraculously connected. Of course, it's Joe Gibbs who once said, "first you win, and THEN you get good." |

Don't bother with Carp. Catfish is also a bottom dweller but quite tasty. We soaked them in Salt, breaded them and one bite...yuck... If you want to make good fish, if you can find it, get frozen ocean perch in that blue box...I'm having trouble finding it now...thaw it in some salt water, milk and egg with flour/cornbread and fry...Yummy.... |
