Im throwing out the Miami game as a lesson in humility and the need to play balls to the wall every week.

At this point I would say we are best against the run, based on who we have played.

Really nice to see the D forcing turnovers this year. Big difference from the last couple of years.

Too bad Washington hasn't played four games so the stats would be on even ground.

I would have to say that our DL is the cause for that.

It doesnt matter. They are averages except for turnovers.

What's more important is to look at the opponents.

It looked a bit odd, so I went back to the site that I got the info from and their stat package had not compiled NFC stats and included them in the rankings. I would expect that we still be in the top 5.

It is, but in the NFC there are two or three teams (cant remember) that have 10 turnovers too.

Wanna bet?

Had Washington played real teams, like AFC teams, they would not have a top 5 defense.

I went and found the numbers, and Denver is #2 in the NFL in front of Tampa, NY Giants, and Chicago (9 each).

Washington has 2
Carolina has 6

Seattle and Dallas have put up decent points on other teams. Plus this D gets almost no help from the O and still performs well.

The Skins haven't played anyone yet that scares you on offense.

Now THAT's a significant improvement! Can't remember where we were last year but it was negative and I think we were worst for playoff teams.

It's amazing what a team can do with a 4 man pass-rush that can create pressure...
