Hell, why not did you see the San Diego game where we stop LaDainian Tomlinson, then again at KC where we stuff Priest Holmes , and for good measure Fred Taylor at Jacksonville?
I would say our chances are good that Portis will not get 100 yards. |

Well, after reading the 'Skins message board a little Im going into full blown homer mode like those twits are.
Their defense isn't scary. Denver is by far a much better ball club than anyone they have played and they could BARELY squeek out victories in three consecutive games. Portis is the only legitimate threat on that team. Moss had a good game against crap defenses, but we will have BOTH Champ and D Dub back for this game PLUS we have proven depth in the secondary. Our linebackers are fast as hell and will cause havoc for the statue Brunell. Denver wins in a rout holding Washington to a measly field goal. |

Portis has 0 TDs so far this season.
If Dallas and Seattle can slow him down then Denver and their front 7 should definitely be able to limit him. |

if we can hold LT to under 100, LJ and Priest combined under 100, Jax as a team under 20 im pretty confident we can keep CP under 100

The Skins have a top notch defense. With Brunell behind center, they've got a QB who can move the club. Moss and Cooley are dangerous targets. And Portis is a demigod. Meanwhile, Jake is way behind his throw-away-the-game quota. Elam is finished. Nalen, Anderson and Smith are too old. Lelie is hurt. The line is undersized, and the refs will make sure we don't cheat this time. And if all that wasn't enough, we have too many guys speculating about what the Broncos will do with the Skins first round pick next year- - which assures that they'll win at least 12 games. We got no shot. |

But we've got Timmy Smith stopped. He's sitting in a jail cell and I bet Jim Ryan has not sent him a sympathy card.

If those guys want to run 87 Super Bowl smack...go right ahead...it's almost been 20 years....you could always bring up about how they got b****ed by the Raiders.

I don't think Portis will be down-to-down effective against our D. In terms of yards its hard to know because all he needs is one seem on one play to go 75. He is an explosive back and once in a while the sun shines on a dog's ass.
The former is more important, but the latter is fun for bragging rights. |

I look for Portis to have about 80 yards and finally get into the end zone, probably as a result of a turnover forced by the defense.
