I was pumped to see the moves. We got lucky on the DW pick. No one thought this guy would be a corner. We were pissed we got him instead of Miller caz he does PR and KR, but turns out the guy is a competitor and a pretty good corner.

That was my only beef, i liked the MoC pick, also liked the MoC cut. The team has done a fine job.

Didn't like the Middlebrooks trade - realize it was the right thing to do when he was cut by SF (he's back on the SF roster but got cut non the less)

Loved the Brown signing - still do

Loved the warren trade - still do

Loved the Drogens trade - still do

Agreed with the Gold signing - love it now

Wanted a vet to back up Plummer - In Shanny I will trust on this one.

hated to see Q cut - Very happy he is back

Was one that hoped we would get a high pick for Pryce - Glad we didn't

Thought it was strange we brought Gold back, but i am happy they did it. I dont see any browns on this team. These are Broncos. Defensive line is spectacular, they get it done. I really didnt question the braintrust this offseason, so, i dont have much to fess up. Go Broncos.

I thought we should of taken Justin Miller over Darrent Williams. I am so glad I was wrong. Just like I was wrong when I thought we should of taken Chris Canty over Trevor Pryce. There is a reason why I'm on the couch and Shanahan is in the War Room.

Default I guess bragging is part of this...

I got it RIGHT:
I was right about DWill. He really is all that and getting better.
I loved the Browncos move early. The whole DL got really good.
The plan was all about saving money and it is working.
I loved we got Trevor back cheaper. I'm glad he's staying healthy.
I liked Gold move. (Nobody wants to come clean on this one)
Keith Burns is an impact player.
I think Patterson has done what he said he would do.
I'm a bigtime Rod Smith fan.
Glad to see Kyle Johnson getting recognized. I like this player.
I thought Engelberger was good. I was wrong. He's REALLY good.
I like our RBBC running attack. We just need to be consistent.
Jake improved...not as much as I wanted but it's still early.
Cecil Sapp backing up Johnson is brilliant
I was high on Ron Dayne and like what I see so far.

OF1 is in effect. Props to Meck77 and the crew

Wrong:
Walls has to get it together. He's been a major disappointment this season.

I was with the majority of most fans who thought Lynch would be about the same or a little slower. That guy got faster and is a great fit for the Broncos.

I did not expect Watts to meltdown.

I don't mind losing to Miami but we got destroyed. I thought we would win.

I don't mind beating KC at home but the fact we are excited about that is kind of bad. We are SUPPOSED to beat KC at home. I was pissed about giving up 10 points. The Jags game is suddenly huge.

The OL is a lot better than I thought they would be but they seem to struggle. If the Broncos don't take a serious look at the OL in the off season I'm going to be very disappointed.

Has anyone seen Putzier? I checked the milk cartons. It was a good move keeping him but I was wondering with as many tight ends as we have when are the Broncos going to start breaking them out?

Whatever:
I was giving Clarett the pass on the assumption that Shanny was backing Turner. I would do it again but I hope Turner doesn't make that kind of mistake again.

I could not understand some fans reaction to whole Jerry Rice thing. I think only a handful of people actually got that whole deal.

I have no idea what to make of Q. He's here. He's gone. He's back. So what. When is he getting in the game?

I was really pissed off about some of the Broncos fans selfish and myoptic attitudes. I couldn't be Meck77 having to deal with multiple flavors of stupid.

EDIT: I really doubt anyone is coming clean on this board.

He came. He taught alot. He is gone. Rice leaving camp was very beneficial to the team (non productive). Rice coming to camp helped in ways stats can't count.

Didn't like the Brown signing, he couldn't even run at the time he was signed - warmed up to it after people pointed out he didn't cost much.

Didn't like the Gold signing, relative to the cap hit, since Chukwurah could do the much the same same thing, and also his cap hit pretty much eliminated being able to sign a #1 pick, had to trade it - have warmed up to him some.

The rest of the off-season stuff I wan't ranting about. Plummer, maybe, but I've warmed up to him.

Well, everybody is pretty happy with Gerard Warren now. Here was the reaction when it was first announced The Browns and Broncos have agreed on a trade for Gerard Warren.

This is a great trade. The cost is low and the potential payoff is huge.
This not only illustrates my incredible insight, but it exposes me as a bit of a homer.

This was what was said a week earlier, when it was first announced that Cleveland had put Gerard Warren on the trading block.

My first reaction:

Daryl Gardener minus the gargantuan strength.

I guess the guy has a lot to prove. I hate the idea of anything resembling a bidding war for his services, though.

Maybe Cleveland is just kooky. Lets not forget they drafted that pig third overall when everybody else had Richard Seymour rated higher.
Well, that was a dumbass draft pick, but I retract the unfortunate characterization of young Gerard as swine, not to mention the much more insulting comparison to Daryl Gardener.

Its funny because you really get an appreciation reading these two threads about how little we know about some situations until you look under the surface. Most of us knew about Warren's brush's with the law and were skeptical. After checking, we saw that most of that stuff was relatively minor and it all happened while he was younger.

I'm not pulling these up to ridicule anyone for their knee-jerk reactions, but rather to explain them. Yeah, Andre Patterson told us all that Gerard was just a big misunderstood kid, but you never know in a situation like that.

Warren....I liked it at the time, I still like it alot.
Brown......same deal.
Engelberger for Middlebrooks....liked it at the time, still do.
Ekuban and Myers for Droughns.....thought it was okay...now I think its still good, although if I knew Tatum wouldnt be the starter Id rather have Droughns than MA.
Darrent Williams.....I was mixed on it, I didnt hate it, I didnt love it, but I did note on draft day that people were not wise to get totally pissed off on him, the Chargers really wanted him and he was great at the Senior Bowl, so I was mixed on the whole, I wanted Hawthorne, Mathis a few others ahead of him but I still found him acceptable.................I really, really like him now.
Paymah..........hated it at the time. Still dont care for it too much although he has alot of upside. Still a little too early though to be picked I think.
Foxworth.........Didnt know much about him at the time.....I like him now.
MoC..............Liked the pick......turned out dead wrong.
Letting Herndon go...........I liked the guy but I felt it was too much money, I still think it was too much money so I am ok with that.
Not doing anything about Cooper....didnt like it then, dont like it now.
Gold.......hated it then, still dont like it now. He has made good plays, done a good job overall, ofcourse several whiffs but he still has played good. DJ has been totally neutralized just as I knew would be the case. So basically its just like last year, we have a player doing well at Will, a guy not making plays at Sam, only difference, we paid more money to maintain the same dynamic. I still dont like this at all. Gold is playing well, not as good as DJ did last year, but still well, he is doing a good job and should get credit, my concern that DJ would be severly limited in his playmaking ability has come true.

Well...tomorrow's game is very important. I think we are a pretty decent football team, but the schedule will prevent us from being very good wins wise. I dont think we will be as bad as 7-9 though, even with some spotty play. Still somewhere between 8 and 10 wins, although we are prolly a little better football team than that would suggest, its just that December is going to be unbearable.

Default Okay...

- I hated the signing of Ian Gold.
- The draft... Darrent Williams was the only bright spot in the draft although I was hoping Chris Meyers would do well here...™
- I didn't like them Passing on G Rick DeMulling when he was available (I beleive the Broncos did have him for a visit last offseason).
- I was hoping Pryce would be traded, but now I'm glad they didn't.
- I was wary of the acuisition of the Browns linemen, but I've been warming up to it. And comparing it to last year's DT's this was an upgrade no matter what.
- I'm glad they let Reggie Hayward & Kenoy Kennedy walk & I'm still glad.
- I wish they didn't cut Fatafehi.
- Concerned about coaching staff. Still am.
- Concerned about Shanny's personnel moves (After the Dale Carter, Marcus Nash, et al fiascos, Daryl Gardener thing just sent me over the edge on this one).
- Concerned about the offensive line. Still am.
- concerned about Plummer, still am but I beleive he can be successful if/ when used properly.
- I didn't like the idea of letting Herndon walk. But now it looks like our current corners are solid (when healthy).

This is what I don't get. During the off season I'm listening to people jaws yawning wide open but when the bullets are flying suddenly nobody wants to take a risk?

This thread is about FESSING UP not about predictions. If you want to predict the direction of the season take a shot at it. I personally think the Broncos can go either way but I feel good about what they are working with. They've got a solid chance which more than I can say about Cardinals, Lions, or Browns.
