Default Somebody fill me in here, what's the status on Rod and Champ?

Obviously, they don't announce it over the PA or something, and being at the game we don't get the sideline reports.

I'm sure there is already a thread, but I don't want to dig through them. How long are either of them out, and what happened? I've heard rumblings of a hammy for Champ, but that's all.

They said that Champ will have an MRI done tomorrow. Champ's a pretty tough bastard so I imagine if there's any way he can go next week he will.

No report on Rod but he was smiling and laughing on the sideline so I imagine it's not too serious.

Rod should be fine. Champ's injury looked pretty bad.

I'll wait for the diagnosis on Champ. I didn't think there was any way in hell he'd play after the shoulder injury in Miami, that looked even worse at the time. Yet there he was in week 2.

Oh man, great to hear that about Rod... he was down for a while, although he did walk off under his own power. And then he didn't come back and play, which kinda got me worried... I mean, I would have rested him too, with the game determined, but still.. I was worried.

Boo urns @ the champ stuff. Although, he shouldn't push it if he can't go..

I think Champ might be out fpr awhile . . . I know he's tough, etc... but he tried to put weight on that hammy 3 or 4 times on the way off the field - no dice. And you don't just "walk off" or "play through the pain" with a hamstring.

If you remember, Champ missed the entire pre-season with a hamstring - is this the same leg?

"I was saying boo-urns..."

I get the reference, Hans, but what's it refer to?

It's the Simpsons episode where they have the film festival. Burns has a film in it, and it gets boo'd by everybody. But then smithers goes, "no sir, they're saying booo urns!"

So burns asks the crowd "were you saying boo or boooourns?"

And the whole crowd boos him.

And then you see Moleman say to himself "I was saying booourns."

Rod will be fine. Champ probably re-agrivated his hamsting that was tweaked. It looked bad and Hammy's are hard because you just need to rest them. If it is bad, I don't expect him to play for three to four weeks. The way our line plays, It will hurt but we can still win games.

Would anyone else like to rag on Shanahan for taking three corners in the draft now?
