Bills | Spikes Lost for the Year
Mon, 26 Sep 2005 09:10:05 -0700

Updating ongoing reports, ESPNews reports Buffalo Bills LB Takeo Spikes (Achilles') will miss the remainder of the 2005 season with an Achilles' injury.

Thats a tough blow. Also the Panthers waived Atiyyah Ellison again. I can't understand that. He was a raw player coming out of college but he still was pretty good.

Spikes is one of my favorite Lb's in the league. I hate this. Injuries suck! I hope he omes back the same next year.

I'd pick him up and give him a chance on the practice squad.

Spikes hurts a lot.

Who is Atiyyah Ellison? Not sure if ive ever heard of him. Do you honestly think if signed he could help this team?

He's a rookie out of Mizz. Hell of a player, but raw. He should have stayed in school though, got some bad info from someone. I would pick him up and put him on the PS though. After a year or two of learning he might just become the player he could be....or he will do jack and we can send him packing again.

Spikes was the heart of the Bills defense. They weren't going to have a great year anyway, imo, but this will really hurt them and is too bad for him. He is a good player.
