Default What is Willie Parkers trade value??

I Have:

LT2
Kevin Jones
Lamont Jordan
Kevin Barlow
JJ Arrington
Fred Taylor
Tatum Bell
Willie Parker

This is a 12 team league...and we start 2 RB's and a Flex. I drafted 7 straight backs.

However, I'm trying to determine the trade value of Willie Parker. I have a guy who is trying to trade for him, because he only has 1 good back. Cadillac Williams. He's offering:

Tony Gonzalez
Cedric Benson

for

Willie Parker
(Either a good receiver or Fred Taylor.)

Whats the value of Willie Parker? Would I be selling a 3rd string RB and Fred Taylor for Tony G and Benson, or would I be giving two #1 RBs for cheddar chese?

I think the latter, but I'd like to get a general consesus.

I'd trade him and jimmy smith for Burleson

After the bye week Bettis and Staley will be back to full health and he'll be stuck in RBBC.

But I think you are giving up to much.

I agree that it would be giving too much up. If I could trust Kevin Jones to not mess it up, I'd take the trade and it would leave me with Lamont Jordan, LT2, and Kevin Jones as my starters. It would strengthen my lineup with Tony G. and give me another flier type in Benson. However, It would seriously upgrade the other guys lineup since he could stop starting vernon haynes cedric Benson. Is the potential loss down the road worth it?...

I don't know.

You should be able to get a top TE and solid WR for that combination. I'd shop around some more.

What does your roster look like?

I had a guy in my league who traded away parker and landed Anquan Boldin. IMO he fleeced the guy.

No way I make that trade. I'm riding the Willie Parker gravy train as far as possible and I think it's going a long way. The 'burgh hasn't had a back this lethal in awhile so I personally don't think he's going to lose very many, if any, touches once Staley and the Bus return.

I'm not gonna trade him.

I don't really need a TE that bad, but I do need WR help.

I'm STARTING

TJ Houshmenzadah
Kevin Curtis
Kaery Colbert.

Ouch!

AFTER the draft, our commisoner decided to create another WR spot. Nice huh? I think he took a look at his lineup realized he had more WR's than necessary and instead of trading it, he just created another spot. If we had drafted with that extra spot already there, there's no way I take 7 straight backs. I had the #1 pick, and I probabley would have taken a #1 WR with my 3rd round pick. There 1,000 dollars on the line. I have the RB market cornered though, and I'll just sit on them until someone needs a back.

Here's my starting lineup

QB - Carson Palmer
WR- TJ Houshmanzedah
WR- Kevin Curtis
WR- Kaery Colbert
RB - LT2
RB- Lamont Jordan
TE - Ben Watson
WR/RB - Willie Parker/Kevin Jones (depends on matchup)

K - J Kasay (distance bonus guy here)
Def - Denver

I have good enough QB, RB's, considering 3/4 of the league is running a crappy back as their #2 and a WR as their flex, that I will win more than I lose. I'll just wait till a team at the bottom realizes they need to seriously change their roster.

I'd be pissed at the commish and demand my money back after pulling a stunt like that. That's complete BS.

TJ should work as a #2 with that roster, but you do need help there for sure.

Look at the titans TE also (Troupe and Kinney) as they are available in most leagues. Troupe should catch more as the season progresses.

I would trade Parker for a solid #2 straight up but having that many WR spots required to start is going to make that tough. I would normally say try to target somebody like Driver, Wayne, or a Ward but I don't know if you will be able to get that with the number of required starting WR's.

I wouldn't play in that league next year with that commish. That is complete BS.

Oh...I'm not too mad about it. Theres a guy playing with Ronnie Brown and Rueben Droughns as his starting backs. The guy I'm playing this week got lucky with Cadillac Williams, because he's starting vernon haynes and cedric benson as well. I can't complain because I will still be taking teams to the woodshed with my back combo's. Eventually, someone who is desperate will come calling...thats fine with me.

To bad JJ Arrington looks like a bust...that would give you one more RB to trade off.

If he ever has a good game or two in a row I'd trade him a heartbeat.
