Default RB Situation Two weeks in...

So what gives? Is Bell the odd man out? Will he be the 3rd for the rest of the year now? Is Dayne the new man in town? Lots of questions surrounding the run game. What do you guys/gals think?

We need to try starting Bell, IMO.

I like the speed, MA looked really bad today, injury or not.

It's Dayne time. Bell must be in the doghouse. I was at the game today and saw Bell injured on a special teams play. Any report on that?

There is one thing for sure at Denver running back position. The one who deserves to start will.

Dayne might get the nod, but then again, i dont see Shanny giving up on MA yet. Bell was hurt and i didnt even see him on ST later in the game, so him being in the doghouse isnt an issue, IMO.

i think dayne earned a shot today. he had MA's power but was faster and lighter on his feet. man, did MA look sssllloooooowww. i don't know if it was the injury or what, but i think it might be time to "go in another direction."

also, i'm eating some crow here. before the season started i defended mike anderson, comparing him to ahman green. i take it back. bring in the young'ns.

You guys that are all bashing the best all-around back we have right now better get used to something, Dayne and Bell CAN"T block.
That is why MA is playing more than they are even though he's banged up.

What the Broncos need to do is put the depth chart out at the begining of the season then whoever is 3rd on the chart should be the starter. That would save them 2 games from figuring it out.

I'd like to see them work Dayne into the gameplan and see how he does. Give him a chance to prove he belongs in the starting role over guys like Anderson or Bell and can hang onto the ball in the red zone or be a threat in in the passing game.

I think we'll have somebody by week 4 that we can count on. Dayne is my choice.

No one is bashing MA. He didn't get a lot of yards today. He leaves and Dayne comes in and runs well. Anyway Anderson didn't get a lot of yards rushing but I saw him pick up all the blitzes and he was a good reciever today as well. There is more to being a RB than just rushing stats.

Dayne can block, he put a punishing block on some LB today and put him out of the game for a few plays. I just think the upside on RD is much more than MA.

If it was my choice.....I say lets ride it out with Anderson and Bell until week five. Then hand the rock along with the starting job to the The Great Dayne.

......and that is why Don Majkowski is my hero

I want to ride the scarlet train...

really though, i would like Tatum to step up but if he hasn't done it now... I just there is a mental deficiency with him and plays... the coaching staff doesn't trust him.

Dayne is a grizzled vet with more burst and upside then Mean Mike. Put him in. I think next week we'll really see who we can count on playing.

Dayne has played in spurts his whole NFL career to date, totally lacks consistency.
I've watched him play for 5 years now and no, he can't block unless he suddenly learned how to do it this year.

We didn't run the ball enough today. Given, our defense put us in a throw-only hole at some points, but we really should have tried harder to establish the run early on.

Add me to the list of those who'd like to see more carries for Bell. His speed in the open field would really give us another dimension. Kind of like Watts.... those are two guys I think could really change our offense if they could get their heads on straight.

So let me get this straight MA has an extremly painfull injury (trust me I know) and Ron Dayne looks good on ONE DRIVE and your ready to give the nod to Ron and bail on Mike... Typical bronco fan, your probably one of those that was saying Q was the next Barry Sanders I bet... Im willing to bet money you were.

One more thing Wagoneers, watch the game agian closely and watch the huge holes that the Oline opened up for Dayne ON THE LAST DRIVE, then watch agian and see those holes not really there when Mike was in most of the time..If anything the Oline should get credit for digging in deep late in the game and controlling the line.. I could have ran in a wheel chair through some of holes on that drive.

Stop jumping wagons so quicly people, watch Mike have a good game next week and most of you same people be back on his Gonads.

So what if he was one of the people saying Q was the next Barry Sanders? Loyalty is to the Broncos, not the depth chart. If someone is having success, then **** yes, put him in. Until MA moves the ball, I support Bell/Dayne.

Say what you want but Dayne earned himself some more carries today and Anderson will need to run better to hold onto his job. If that is bandwagon jumping than so be it.

Bell/Dayne? lol what has either of them done.. Dayne has O N E good drive and Bell runs through a few gaping holes and gets knocked back for most of the game and you want to put them ahead of someone who has actually gotten multiple 100 yard games for us in the past..

Im going to say this one more time to you fat couch patatoes, Mike Anderson has a extremly Painfull injury right now it will get healed and he will be back to normal... Bell/Dayne have been playing there whole short careers as if they have had painfull injurys... Compare the numbers of the three then come holla at me.. I dont bail on hurt players unlike most of the so called FANS on this site...And I damn sure dont jump on Wagons of players that have O N E good drive...

Blah im done when mike gets healed and starts to act up you wagoneers will be all up on his once agian... And Ron Dayne will be the next Mike Jones. Who?

Sorry pal, redzone fumbles are unacceptable no matter how you word it. I was never on the MA rain BTW. Tatum will be our starter. The only reason Dayne got carries was because Bell was hurt.

LMFAO trust me on this one.. Bell will never be the starter.. Watch the game agian pre Taco Bell injury and you will clearly see the RB who came in to sub Anderson early in the game was Dayne and Not Tater each and ever time... Tater is in the Dog house and for good reason.
