Default Will Invesco ever have the "Punch" of Mile High?

Sure, we've heard all the theories...lack of talent, lack of passion by current fans. Fans satisfied, can't get the hunger back. Glory days hangover. Elway hangover. Coach stale, needs to go. Playcalling predictable. And the great Gradishar says people are still looking for another #7 era, but they can basically forget it.

So I pose the question.

Assuming the Broncs make noise in the playoffs this year, if they had a home game would Invesco rock like the old mile high? I don't just mean loud, I mean bone rattling racket that shook up the Oilers, the Browns, the Jets, and even the Jags.

Or was Clinton Portis right when he said everyone is still looking for John? I thought he was way offbase at the time, but its true you don't appreciate what you have until its gone. I remember Johns last two and three seasons and all you heard was Terrell Davis, as if everyone was out getting coffee while #30 was winning singlehandedly. We now know how silly that was. Those Broncs never got credit for being the ultimate rounded team. They could bludgeon you with the running game, or slice you up passing. It didn't matter.

Now, just watching the offense is an adventure. You have no clue what might happen.

It will but it will take time , I mean who can forget the fight ( playoff game ) vs the oilers Elway vs Moon , Elway converting 2, 4 th downs , Scoring machine , or some of the games with the Raiders like the AFC championship game on our way to SB 12 , We bent the steel , we stomped the snake , Dallas will be a piece of cake .....
WHo can forget some of the greats that played on the field , Gradishar , Elway , Little , T.D., Simon Fletcher , Rulon Jones , Morton , Moses ,Mecklenburg, Braxton , and so on, We also have alot of bad memories also ....What Invesco needs is some of the new generation to create new memories , Classic Playoff battles , all star Players to take the field .........

It very much can be a fine fan stadium. We need to put a decent team in front of it first.

there is nothing wrong with that stadium whatsoever.

This is so typical of you Spider...KC has only recently started talking about a new stadium...Your an idiot.

It's still Mile High. The only big thing was the players parking lot changed. And the locker rooms. Of course, there's more pansies on the current Bronco roster than there was before.

Edit: I forgot to mention the we're-so-smart-we-can-field-pansies coaching staff.

I dont know. I guess if the Broncos were ever upper echleon contenders, it could maybe.

But you cant ever replace the old Mile High.

Its like you cant replace Fenway Park (which will happen eventually), you cant replace the old RFK stadium, or the Boston Garden.

Exactly!!! Mile High is gone forever, never to be seen again. People are all from somewhere else now-a-days. The hard working men and women of this country (the real fans) are being priced out of stadiums.
So we now have Invesco and the corporate fan.

I don't buy into that. All the Broncs did is move across the street. What it is is an excuse for not winning a playoff game. The name Mile High is even still a part of the name. But basically, the Bronco organization has put a middle 10 team on the field for the past 6 years, and that is not good enough. Meck and the boys and girls have been putting the pressure on gameday, but that's good enough? I have my own eyes to see with, and I've seen shoddy team efforts.

More than likely, the trouble is Shanny can't attract the best assistant coaches, because Shanny is a megalomaniacal prick.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Mile High I knew will never be back! I don't care how much effort is put into getting people to stop sitting on their a$$es, it's just not the same.
Those of you who where at the old stadium know what I mean. We were one, not 70 some odd thousand individuals!
Broncomoania still lives in some of us, but the "yellow coats" are there to make sure we don't disturb the Club level pansies!

No.... but It will be great once again and make its own name.

I agree, this generation is having trouble with the change, but maybe next gen, say 5-10 years the kids that are in the seats now will have memories and the "new" mile high will rock once again!
Cant wait till i move up there and i get to join in the fun!!

Exactly,,I went to many games in the old mile high. The new one is nice and has nice amenities but dont compare as far as the environment is concerned.
