Default Why is Nick Lachay is on Gameday?

I'm watching ESPN College Gameday and who do I see, Nick Lachay, isnt he the guy married to Jessica Simpson. WTF is he doing on ESPN Gameday?

I'm tired of these celebrities that have no ties to sports or dont know a lick about it showing up on gameday.

Much like that idiot Rush Limbaugh on ESPN Sunday NFL Gameday.

Hardly a new phenomenon.

Tom Arnold's ticket to fame was being the only guy in Hollywood who could get drunk enough to want to **** Roseanne and still maintain an erection.

I would say Nick has avoided that problem

Jesscia Simpson and Rose Ann Bar should not be used in the same context.

I thought the thread was about douchebags marrying there way into celebrity and infesting sports programming. Sorry if that comparison was too complicated to follow.

Nick is a pretty cool guy, I had to watch the show with my girl, he is actually a sports fanatic, and a hardworking guy. Not your typical celebrity type. Although I don't think he has the credentials to be a gameday. I still like the guy.

Exactly. I'm not a "Nick fan" or anything, but to his credit, he really gets into sports. They showed him at the national championship game last year, he's a USC fan I guess, and he was up in the skybox screaming and yelling and jumping around. Every other single person in that box was looking at him like "who are you?"

Being from Cincy, he's also a huge basketball fan. He had courtside seats to the NCAA tourney for all the Cincy games.

I should retract my comparison of Nick Lachey to Tom Arnold from a talent standpoint. Nick has probably flushed more talented things than Tom Arnold down the can.

Nick is a mimbo, designed to attract female viewers. Mimbo being, male bimbo.

Nick is a bandwagon jumper, He is supposed to be this huge Cincy fan but jumped on to USC's trailer when they started to win again after a long drought, most of the celebrties get with the trendy team much like their music or acting.

I had the opportunity to see Tom Arnold the tool firsthand on Ragbrai, the bicycle tour across Iowa. It comes thru my town about every 5 years.

This guy didn't ride a bike, he hauled harleys behind a tour bus on a trailer. He paid 2,000 for a house right down my street, and I called the moron out. He's a collosal jerk beyond belief. He needs his own posse to manage to ride a Harley on a bike tour? He hires out a house? He has two harleys behind a tour bus with a trailer with two harleys? People bike across the state, he needs a custom bus with trailer and two Harleys. And his own house. Everyone else is in tents.

It's a bicycle tour, not Sturgis. You have no idea what an diickhead this guy is unless you actually meet him in person. It's literally unbelievable. He's class A certified moron.

I ran into Tom Arnold in sporting goods store in Studio City about 15 years ago. He was so high and drunk - in the middle of the afternoon - that he was bumping into things and knocking merchendise off the shelves. I assume he was getting mentally prepared to see Roseanne in the altogether.
