Default May be a silly question but....

But I was thinking our the O-Line. Ok, there are seven linemen on the 53-game roster.

So I know if a injury occurred during the game to Nalen, Hamilton will slip into that role.

But my question comes who will go in at guard? I mean, Carswell is still a bit green at the offensive tackle position and Anthony Clement is a offensive tackle.

So who would come in during a game if Nalen went down or if Hamilton or Carlisle went down?

I know this isn't the answer you're looking for, but Clement is no longer part of the team. People have been griping for a while that depth at the O-line is weak. I hope Shanahan has the answer to that question...

Cornell Green started for Tampa Bay during their Super Bowl run. He can play both the OG/OT positions and while he's not as mobile as our OL usually are, he's a massive guy who'll be a stopgap.

Carswell looked pretty good in run blocking as a Guard. He has the mobility and was always a very good leverage blocker as a TE. His pass protection may not be up to par but you rarely get that from backups anyway.

So that gives us two guys who can cover the three positions.

Also, let's not forget that Cooper can also play OT in a pinch.

We are building a bionic Dan Neil in a secret lab. We can make him bigger, stronger, faster....he never retired, he has been adapting to his bionic legs.
