Yes Denver has signed Terrell. Not sure why.

I have to show my Michigan boy a little love! Okay so I'm not even that pumped to see him here. Add another first round talent that didn't work out to the roster.

I think he can compete with Devoe and Adams for the WR spot we used to have filled with Eddy Mac. Its a role Rod has been trying to play the last couple years but its not really his game, plus he takes a real beating there. I doubt he'll be a real contributor but he showed some flashes in Chicago so its a small risk v. large upside situation. Could work out well, though I'm cheering on Devoe and Adams over him.
I'd like to see Watts develop into what Rod used to be, a dangerous short yardage threat who then puts up serious YAC. He can do it if he gets those hands working consistantly. |

Sounds like you're saying he was signed to a longer term job interview. Also, he had leg problems (an infection?) during his stay in Chicago, and I would wonder why they would take on a wounded WR. I am confused at this point about this signing, but then I am not on the Personnel Committee.

I'm for the signing, it has potential. Lets hope the reason why he was horrible was because his QB.

Their best move may have been to bring in someone they already cut, IMO. Who was available that could really make a difference in this team without knowing the system and having gone through the preaseason? Maybe a defensive player, but we are much deeper there. |

I suspect they'll try to match him up with shorter, slot CBs in the red zone in case Lelie struggles again there and Watts doesn't improve on his catching. Last edited by fontaine; 09-07-2005 at 08:58 AM.. |

Let's convert him to TE. We are dangerously thin there.

Wait a second, does Terrell play special teams at all? What value is he providing that the other recievers don't already provide?

Didn't you see the sign in the window..."Recycling Bin"...honestly It's hard to believe Terrell could suck so bad he couldn't stick. He was a top 10 pick, and I thought he was going to be a star. I guess he got a big head and was injured constantly and was uncoachable.
Sound familiar? |

My guess is our coaches don't like the idea of going into the season with only 3 guys that have caught an NFL pass at the WR spot. Hmm, can't say that I blame them. Why I do think we could have went a different way with this it was waiting on Rice that forced us to have to pick up David. There doesn't seem to be that many other proven guys out there now. I welcome a guy that can catch 40 plus balls a year to this team. |

Did he not make the Pats because of a leg infection? If that is the reason, then as long as it is good to go now I am ok with this. I always thought that he was a wasted talent in Chicago. Unfortunately, our track record at reviving receivers careers isn't that great.

We need another lineman, not another receiver, especially an injured one.

I'm good with the pick up.
The way I see it, we've gotta take chances. There is never going to be an off-season where all we get is great, proven players and never lose anything. Look at the Pats, for example. Last off-season they picked up Dillon, a major risk considering his track record and attitude in Cincy. And look at the result. You might say, well, they were already a SB team, but the fact is, that was a huge upgrade at RB. I'm not going to sit here and say Terrell is going to put us over the top or anything like that. But, we gotta take chances like these. We took a chance on MOC, didn't work out. We're taking a chance on the Browns D-Line, and that is looking promising. I'm perfectly fine with trying to upgrade the offense. |

Out of all the receivers recently available, including Warrick, Price and Davis, Terrel has the most upside. and will demand the least money. Good pickup, but I would have rather seen Dorsett Davis back on our roster.
