Global warming doesn't exist. It's just a liberal conspiracy to bring down the President. The fact that it's getting warmer and the ice caps are melting has nothing to do with anything.

No it's only ignored when there's a Bush in the WH. When Bush was busted fixing science he lost all his "capital" when it came to his environmental policies.

Explain to me how global warming became a political issue. Shouldn't it be a strictly scientific issue?

As you can see the direct correlation between the increase in global warming and the decrease in the pirate 'trade' Since the earth is warming these folks have lost thier trade. We need to step in and create programs so they can have a second chance. A 'pirate welfare' if you will.

You mean to tell me that since the last ice age the earth has been warming? You don't say. Is it possible that since it's been shown through ice core and earth core samples that the earth cycles between ice ages that the warming that is currently occuring is simply part of the larger cyclical design of the earth?

The best evidence we have is that the last few decades are the warmest, on a global average basis, of the last many thousands of years.

Actaully, the govt didn't officially dispute it's existence till bushii was sworn in (-:

Kyoto was maybe/probably flawed, but we've done nothing until the past year to push conservation and use less energy. The new power plants are natl gas rather than coal, but's it.

There's also a strong correlation between ice cream consumption and murder rates throughout the year. Correlation does not imply causality.

Well, whatever is the cause, the ice on the poles is melting. So far, I have yet to see the U.S. doing anything to prepare for the inevitable.
