Gates catches TD's. Gonzo catches TD's and posts 100 yard games! Keep this in mind which is why I went after him in round 3 in every draft this year. 100 yards = 16 pts. 80 yards = 11 pts. TD's are gravy!!! I'll take 11 points from the TE position ANYTIME! Look at Gates last year. He had a few games with multiple TD's... that gave him big points. He doesn't get a lot of receptions or yards though. He'll avg around 8 while Gonzo avgs closer to 12 or 13.
Smurf's post was uncalled for and tasteless to say the least.

We shall see...we shall see.

Says you!!! 40 yard FG's worth 4 or 5 points. And the real kicker... missed FG's cost you 3,4, and 5 points. You can easily end up with some -3 point games if your kicker has a bad day!

As for the defenses. A top unit like Balt (FU Slap for taking them so damn early! lol) or Buff are worth a lot in this league. 10 points or less is worth 7 points on its own! Now factor in the yards, Ints, FR, and sacks! I see a few of the top units like Buff and Balt putting up 20 point games fairly often!

Put it to you this way. Colts win this weekend 30-17. That means Vandy kicked 3 FG's and 3 PAT's. Say two 35 yarders and one 45 yarder. That's a 16 point week! Take away a FG and a PAT and it's still a 10 point week... for a kicker! The nice thing about Vandercrack...he doesn't miss too often so he won't cost me points!

I agree. I was just saying that no one could care about hearing insight on a Kicker.
the scoring system is the main reason I took Akers in the Mane league. I never, NEVER take a kicker before round 14. With the scoring system in place, I targeted a top kicker!

Despite only 7 points from my qb, the rest of my team showed up. 121 points right now with Heap left to play tonight. If I would have started McCardell I would be around 140.

Edit: McCardell will start next week against the backup secondary of the broncos.

I should have started McMichael...but I just couldn't do it. That'll teach me (Geek League)

My fantasy teams should have stayed at the hotel like the Broncos. I'm going to lose all five of my games this week.

Losing Javon for the rest of the year stings a bit.

I see Sideburn is up to his old tricks again. Starting the year off right or wrong for the rest of us.

Don't feel bad. I had a bunch of points sitting on the bench too. Lost out on close to 30 in just one player!!! Them's the breaks. I still hit my 110 is what matters most! I could still lose too!

What's funny is my bench would have out scored 5 teams at this point... and I still have two players to go in tonight's game!!! Anybody need a RB for a WR type trade?

Yeah, I had a piss poor effort from my WR's and RB's and started my 2nd team defense but still have 100 points... Javon is the least of my concerns!!!
