Default Gasless Sundays

Would anyone follow a self imposed gas embargo on Sundays.....just don't spend money on gas or convience stores on sundays. Can you do it?

Also..do you like Broncos Football?

And do you think Jake will deliver this year?

Sure, just do on Saturday night what you would do on Sundays. That's easy. If you were going to get gas Sunday, just get it Saturday night. You plan ahead and do it a day early. Does that really accomplish anything though?

I can do it with no problem. But what's the point? You calling for a one day boycott or every Sunday?

Before the big gouge, gas always went up in price at the onset of the weekend (Saturday).

So I always filled up Friday and continue to do so.

I put about 5 bucks a week in my honda every week. Pretty soon I guess that will only get me a gallon of gas. Still I won't put more then 4 gallons a time. I heard thats one of the only ways to hurt them.

It's what I've been doing...not 4 gallons...but 15 bucks..that's it. When that gets low...I don't travel. No one on this forum has seen hard times unless you were alive in the 20's. We are going to have to conserve...that much is certain...who's not travling this weekend that had planned too....(raises hand)

Regardless of whether or not we boycott gas on Sundays...we need hurt these companies in the wallet.

I'm not making any changes to anything I do over gas prices. I don't have time to make statements. I'm driving eight hours next weekend to go to a Bronco party in Indianapolis. I'm not missing that. Been planning it for well over a month now. Pay for the gas and move on. Life is to short to sit around and make political statements.

I'm getting old man. I'm not altering my life over gas.

The wonderful state of Kansas has it's own "embargo" on beer sales on Sunday...Do I consume any less beer?...no, I just buy more Saturday ....it's going to take a more concious effort on peoples behalf in order to hit them in their pocketbook.

I thought about selling my Honda but with the gas prices going up and up I think I will keep it. Sure its older but it still has lots of life left in it and the 25 plus MPG are nice to have. If I could find a metro I would buy that in a heart beat!

We should try to conserve. Turn the thermostat to 75, plan your driving to consolidate, try to car pool if it's easy. Drive the Toyota instead of the SUV unless you have a purpose for it. The apathy is easy, it's like "will my vote count", but there is power in numbers. Some A-hole gas station, Chevron, in Atlanta had premium over 4 bucks today. congress should give the President temporary authority to cap profit margins.

I don't think some of you get it....and maybe we need to get some old gummers in here to explain the gas rationing of the forty's...it's not a matter of being able to afford it....it won't be there for you if we don't start to conserve starting now...today.

Some where at 6...if you turn on Fox News...you see one chargin 5.69 a gallon...you might thin this is a fair price for 93 octane...but I assure you it was 87
