Listening to the radio, they were deabting on which stadium has the best atmosphere for college football, These were the main places mentioned:
Ben Griffin Stadium - "The Swamp" - University of Florida ![]() Ohio Stadium - "The Horseshoe" - The Ohio State University ![]() Kyle Field - "The 12th man" - Texas A&M ![]() Neyland Stadium - University of Tennessee ![]() Michigan Stadium - "The Big House" - University of Michigan ![]() Other mentioned: Lane Stadium - Virginia Tech, DKR Stadium - University of Texas, Autzen Stadium - University of Oregon, The Coliseum - USC Trojans So which one has the best atmosphere? How the hell does $C get mentioned?? That place freaking sucks for a college atmosphere. In the middle of one of the worst parts of LA and there are more left over Faid fans at those games than there are $C alums. The Colliseum, you (not you fadeproof) have got to be ****ing joking me.

Big Guy has been to pretty much everyone of them. Interested to see which one he thinks has the best atmosphere.
Just from TV, id say Tiger stadium at LSU is pretty awesome and Neyland as well. Doak Campbell also. The Coliseum is an utter joke.

Aside from Neyland and BHG swamp, I could've put "any other SEC stadium" as an option as LSU, Auburn, Georgia, and Alabama are not bad options as well.

As painful as it is, my vote goes to eATMe for their fantastic enviroment. It may not rival the SEC big dogs in terms of sheer numbers, it may very well not have the loudest crowds for every game, hell, it definetely does not have the best teams year in and year out, but nothing beats the pure passion of their fans on gamedays. And believe me, the intimidating nature of that stadium and its ability to literally scare opponents is well justified.
The Vols would have been my top choice otherwise with one of the single best gameday atmospheres out there. By the way, where is Nebraska or Notre Dame? Putting Michigan in there is laughable. Have you ever seen their alumni base really get into the cheering? Me either. They are world renowned for sitting on their hands for all but the most important of games. Aside from having a big population on gamedays, there are quite a few on that list that could concievably be left off, starting with USC.

I have not been to Tennessee since it has been expanded. Real Quick off the top of my head I would say (based on total Fan Experience):
1. Georgia 2. LSU 3. Wisconsin 4. Alabama 5. Air Force (haven't been to Army or Navy) 6. Florida 7. Miami 8. Michigan 9. Tennessee 10. BYU (I was there when they were winning) |

Homer Pic of course...Can't wait for Saturday. I'll be in the upperdeck on the right side of the picture. Make sure you look for me on TV (yeah, right)!Really is a great gameday atmosphere, just not as good the above mentioned. |

I love games at Falcon Stadium. The fly overs are awesome. It's not as awe inspiring as the big dawg schools but still a great environment. ![]() |

Neyland Stadium is absolutely great, I can't put it ahead of the Horseshoe for personal reasons, but the UT fans sure as hell did impress me. The location is great as well, right on the banks of the Chattanooga river, and you can just see for miles and miles up the river, orange and white boats waving UT flags on them as they tailgate on the river before going to the game, the experience was just unreal. OSU still gets my vote because we're loud as hell and no team wants a piece of us inside the Horseshoe(just ask Texas about it on September 11th), but Neyland is a close 2nd. |

As much as I hate to admit, Folsom Field is a crazy a$$ atmosphere, especially when you're a Husker fan dressed in all red, sitting in the student section! Got to throw fists just to get out!

Solution: Don't sit in the student section.
Why would anyone cheering for an opposing team sit in ANYONE'S student section? That's just stupid. |
