Default IS Elam nearing the end

Or do you think he still has a lot left in him? He was 1 for 3 the other night. What does everybody think about picking up Mason Crosby in the 2007 NFL draft?

I think Elam will be fine...The FO might want to look at an accurate field goal kicker in the draft. Is Crosby supposed to be the best in the nation

They are saying he could be a high pick like Janikowski or Nugent. The guy is very accurate and basically if you cross the 50, you have at least 3 points, he's sick. Also most of his kickoffs go out of the endzone.

I think this thread is very premature.

The guy misses 2 FGs in a preseason game and people start saying the end is near.

He hit on 29/34 last year...an 85.3 percentage. That is much higher than his career average of 79.3%. He had 129 points, the second highest total of his career.

I know I am just a Mason Crosby homer so I had to see what everybody thought of him. I still think Elam is a good kicker with probably a lot left in the tank.

Yeah, probably a bit premature, since Crosby won't be in the draft until '07. But if the Broncs can grab him in the second or third round then, save some $$ under the cap vs. Elam, AND have a placekicker who can kick off, I say they have to go for it...

BTW, SSJ - didn't notice the similarity in our screen names when I registered - I can change if you like... but South Stands (in MH, in the old days) kinda sums up who I am...

And a shout out to my boy Unleash - see you for the CSU game!!
