"Come Saturday night, maybe the corner, corner, corner draft will cause Manning to blink. More likely, he'll audible"

Yeah i'm sure Manning is really worried about three rookie cornerbacks playing for the Broncos..........

I don't expect Manning to be worried, but I think these kids are going to great picks for us in the long run. I've watched the Texans game a few times and there's one thing that stands out about all of them. Their awareness of where the ball is. They always seem to be keyed in on the ball, and that's what leads to INTs. Walls has great coverage skills, but he never seems to locate the ball until its too late.

You can have perfect coverage againt the best WRs in the league, and they're going to catch the ball every time if you don't get a hand on it first. These young kids know how to find the ball, and that's exciting to me.

Yes, the three CBs will be important, but Stokely is out for this game I think from a dislocated shoulder so they'll most likely feature two WRs, TE with Edge in the backfield so that Manning and co can get more reps with this formation for the start of the season.

I think this game is going to tell us the most about Gerrard Warren/Mike Myers. The Colts interior is probably even lighter than our OL. They feature two very young Guards as starters who got limited starts last year anchored by a very underrated C in Jeff Saturday. One guy was waived from KC last year as an undrafted FA in 2004 while the other was a 5th round pick from last year!

I doubt whether we can get pressure on Manning from the edges, their bookend Ts are good and Manning is great at releasing the ball very quickly. So the pressure is going to have to come from the interior and their weakest part of the OL. If this was a playoff game than I would absolutely love to put Pryce/Warren in the middle and let them shoot upfield with Brown/Engelberger containing the perimeter while Al Wilson/DJ decapitate anything that comes through the middle and with Gold covering the TE.

But it all depends on whether Warren/Myers/Pryce can get pressure up the middle. This is the reason why we kept/brought in these guys right!

Go Broncos!

Roc Alexander, Jeremy LeSeuer and Jeff Shoate? How did that turn out for us? The only peep I've heard out of any of them so far is watching that pathetic Jeremy LeSeuer do his best Tony Lilly impersonation, chasing 49ers all over the field. And did you see Kevan Barlow knock LeSeuer on his BUTT?!

"Jeremy? Didn't anybody tell you that in the safety position, you have to actually TACKLE somebody? No? Ask John Lynch on your way out the door, son."

Q: What's the difference between Jeremy LeSeuer and Tony Lilly?
A: About 20 years!

BESIDES: The best "cornerback help" wearing orange Saturday night will be Ebenezer, Gerard and a healthy Trevor!

I still have visions of Tony Lily in the SB against the 49'ers. That was a sad display of football put on by him. It was an embarrasment.

I don't remember this kind of buzz at all. I bet if you check the mane from late August of 2004, you will see a bunch of folks calling Laseuer and Shoate busts. I know that there was a huge amount of whining about them on draft day. And Roc wasn't even on the radar.

That said, I agree with you that how the DL performs will affect our CB performance hugely.

Rocs still nursing a hammy as well I think. He's working his way right out of a roster spot.

I don't remember any buzz about last years CB draftees other than Lesuer looking like he may be a decent safety prospect. I don't remember hearing anything about Roc until week 10 of the regular season. I remember every yapping about Shoate and how bad he was.

If Roc can't go as the n3 corner, I think the season is pretty much toast as to playoffs.

Roc had better be more worried about making this squad than he is about being the nickel back. I think he's #6 on the depth chart right now, behind all the rookies.

No one was excited about the CBs last year. Leseuer and Shoate were not that impressive and both ended up on injured reserve. Roc had a good camp and I look for hiom to contribute this year too.

The rookie CBs this year have really impressed everyone.

OK, I get it. It just seemed like everyone was excited about them last year, bacause all I had was Bill Williamson and Lee Rasizer online.

You see, I didn't have your all your ADVANTAGES in life! I only found this Orange Mane 3 days ago . . .

Hey! Are all the caps, bolds and itals I used (like above) really that irritating? I've had like 3 complaints after just 75 posts.

The colts are going to have to shut down the bootleg which will leave many running lanes for us to exploit. Plummer must also learn how to find rhythm in the pocket and stand back there and make plays. Stay away from freeney! All that said this is still a preseason game which does not mean a thing.

Yes they are irritating. You need to use them to get your point across.
