MOVE OVER, CINDY: BUSH SINGLES OUT OTHER MILITARY MOM
Wed Aug 24 2005 16:53:27 ET

NAMPA, Idaho -- President Bush today took direct aim at Cindy Sheehan, the anti-war protester who has set up camp near the Bushes Texas ranch and purports to speak for military moms who, like her, have lost a son in the Iraq war.

Speaking to hundreds of Idaho National Guardsmen, the president singled out military mom Tammy Pruett of Pocatello, Idaho, whose husband and five sons have all served in Iraq.

"Tammy has four sons serving in Iraq right now with the Idaho National Guard: Eric, Evan, Greg and Jeff. Last year her husband, Leon, and another son, Aaron, returned from Iraq, where they helped train Iraqi firefighters in Mosul.

"Tammy says this -- and I want you to hear this -- 'I know that if something happens to one of the boys, they would leave this world doing what they believe, what they think is right for our country.'

"And I guess you couldn't ask for a better way of life than giving it for something that you believe in. America lives in freedom because of families like the Pruetts."

The crowd, made up mostly of military family members, broke into cheers and chants of "U-S-A! U-S-A!"

The Monkey assembles yet another hand-picked, pre-screened, loyalty oath-taking crowd to cheer his insane policies and uses it for PR.

Wow - that's newsworthy.

The only president EVER to screen every individual allowed into his pep rallys for the "correct frame of mind".

Odd, I never realized just because you "believe" in(even with mounds of evidence proving otherwise you're completely wrong in reality) something that it automatically makes it true.

U-S-A!!

Come on, who can blame them? Even if they know the "mission" of nationbuilding is going down the tubes (aluminum), they have to stick together to have a chance to survive.

But yeah, sheehan struck a nerve. That's the basic problem he has, and Gary Hart predicted it. IF he wasn't straight up about going in to nation build, then when the truth finally emerged, he'd have no mandate when times got tough. And politically, the sunnis aren't buying in, unless maybe they try the elections again, which bushii won't do, so we're gonna see something other than a triparte repbulican federalist govt. Prolly an escalation of the "civil war" that we're seeing start to unfold.

The difference, Ratboy? Unlike the Sheehan family, the Pruett family has yet to actually suffer any losses... and they're still drinking the Bush koolaid.

First of all, there are plenty of people who still support the war effort, particularly in the red states.

Secondly, the only president? I doubt that, very seriously. Presidents have a rich tradition of staged rallies so they don't have to worry about pesky hecklers.

You mean there are still people buying into the invasion and police action of Iraq. I guess that says a lot about the "Red" states.
Reagan started the screening thing but didn't do it for every pep rally like Bush jr.

I guess it depends on your definition of "plenty."

President's Approval Ratings Finally Fall Into 30's.

Despite feeling better about their financial prospects, Americans continue to turn against President Bush, an ARG poll shows. Among all Americans: 36% approve of the way the President is handling his job, 58% disapprove. Among registered voters: 38% approve, 56% disapprove.

Name another president who required everyone who attended his public speeches to first sign oaths of loyalty to his political party.

That's what I thought.
