Default Broncos to focus on the fans (BRONCOS COUNTRY)

http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drm...016946,00.html

Not sure if this article was posted the other day but the Broncos have a new marketing campaign to thank the fans (Broncos Country). It's been very noticable around town here and on the net/at the game etc. I think they realize that it's time to get back to the grass roots die hard Broncos fan base that has been so loyal to this team since the 60's. Denver use to be a one horse town but with all the new entertainment to choose from these days I think it's wise for the Broncos to refocus a bit on what helped build the history of this team. THE REAL FANS

Good job Broncos.

DL I took BroncoLBs advice from the feedback forum. I was having trouble starting threads but if you put 1 letter in the subject and 1 in the body then edit it allowed me to start a thread.

I love this quote from the article.

The Broncos' message: We're working on it.

"We feel as bad as you do," Carney said. "And we're working hard to get back to the Super Bowl as soon as we can."

This is the kinda talk we need to hear from the Broncos. Not just Shanny, not just Bowlen but Players, Marketing, Administrative people, and the fans need to step up as well to bring back the 12th man.

We were firing on all cylinders back in 1997-1998 from Bowlen all the way down to the security people in the parking lot. Broncomania was in full swing. It's coming back and it's nice to see the Broncos step up and reach out to the fans like this!

MILE HIGH SALUTE Broncos Marketing!

Yep - Bronco fans are more like college fans in many other parts of the country. Last I was there Illinois and of course Northwestern didn't have that enthusiasm, but take a run up to Madison someday. It is close to the Denver experience and close to where you live. Of course a trip out here for a game is much better.

I hope the Broncos marketing department places those billboard signs in Pueblo, Alamrosa, Ft. Collins, Greeley, Durango, Cheyenne, Casper, Billings, Santa Fe and Rapid City as well. The Rocky Mountain region is Broncos Country!

That's a good point. I'd add Flagastaff Az to the list. Disco and I were cruising around there for about 4 days on the bus. That town is infested with us.

I was surprised to find so many here in Phoenix as well. That could be due to a lack of a legit local alternative.

Well, Portland isn't Broncos country...but MY house is.
good article. Go Broncos!

Strangely enough Portland isn't HEE-Hawk country either. Theres more 49er and Raider (yecchh!) fans than anything around here.

Agreed. Infact I've been waiting to make this annoucment about the tailgates.

BRONCOS COUNTRY CONSTITUTION

Article I.

It is NOW required that ALL BRONCOS FANS attending an OMANE/OF1 tailgate wear Orange or something old school. If you don't have any go get some. If you need to borrow something while at the tailgate we'll have extras upon your arrival. Don't believe me ask Sassy.

Meanwhile while BRONCOS COUNTRY is taking over the world here is what the Charger's fans are doing..........

I think they should stick to eating sushi in their lot.

Barbecue ignites blaze at Chargers game
August 22, 2005

SAN DIEGO --The smoldering coals of a tailgate barbecue ignited a fire that destroyed six vehicles in the parking lot at Qualcomm Stadium during a Chargers exhibition game, authorities said. The blaze also damaged four other nearby vehicles.

Breaking News Alerts Shortly after kickoff of the exhibition game Sunday between the Chargers and the St. Louis Rams, the hot coals of a barbecue left in front of a Ford Mustang ignited cars that had been parked together.

A column of black smoke rose into the air, and the smell of burning tires wafted over the grandstands. Some cars were left sitting on their rims. Shattered glass lined rows between the burned vehicles. Fenders were melted away.

Police Sgt. Ray Mattuck said there was no doubt the fire had been started by a barbecue.

By halftime, arson investigators were searching through the ashes. The investigators were expected to determine if charges would be filed, firefighters said.
