I hope he does well except in the Broncs game. Would be nice to have a good comp pick for him.

John Henderson hasn't done anything as well, but I still believe they have the best line in the league.

I was more miffed with Berrry leaving than this guy. Berry seemed to get stronger and stay fast.

Akin Ayodele, Mike peterson, and Daryl smith. The first two are very good up and coming LB's. Do not know much about D. smith though.

As for their DL, Henderson and Stroud are great DT's but the Ends are still average and I think they are only about the tenth best DL.

Comp picks are based more off of the contract they get rather than how they play.

Hayward, the team's marquee free-agent signing, failed to record a sack, tackle or assist for the second time in as many games Saturday night in a 20-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Hayward, who came from Denver in March after notching a career-high 10 1/2 sacks last season, played into the second quarter along with the rest of the Jaguars' starting defense against Tampa Bay but once again did not turn up on the postgame statistical sheet.

That was in sharp contrast to his replacement, Rob Meier, who took over for Hayward at right end just before halftime and immediately sacked backup Tampa Bay quarterback Chris Simms. Meier then moved inside to right tackle and had another sack of Simms on the next play.

No tackles, assists or sack his first two games with the #1 unit, and he's surrounded by talent on the DL. Told ya so. Now who's laughing east coast media? *perks up ear to hear what Salsbury Steak says next*. I said Berry was twice the player Hayward was three years ago.

He might show up for the game against us but other than that I don't see him motivated to do anything this year. He was an underachiver here he will be worse now that he got his payday.

I think the Jags defense was pretty good last year when we only scored 6 points. The line will be improved at both ends when we face them again. LDE Spicer didn't play against us last year. That will be a tough game.

I dont think so. Jets or panthers JUst think about it, you would take henderson stroud and hayward over jenkins rucker and peppers. No way. Jenkins and peppers are probably the best in the game at their positions.

Not Jets. Abraham is going to sit the year out IMO. Panthers you can argue about.

That's the whole point. Hayward should be thriving with the supporting cast around him. Two weeks and hasn't even shown up in the stat line?

No doubt abraham is a punk and I lost a lot of respect for him after sitting out in the playoffs last year but he will play this year.

Don't get me wrong, at this point in their careers, I would much rather have Berry. But we must not forget that Heyward has 22 sacks through his first 4 years in the league and Berry had a whole 7 sacks through his first four years! I have a feeling, if they would have started out at the same time in their respective careers, people around here would have a much different opinion about the situation. JMHO folks.

Better DL's than the Jags:

1. Bears-Ogunleye, alex Brown, Tank Johnson, and Tommie Harris
2. Bucs-Simeon Rice, Mcfarland, Greg Spires, and Others
3. Cards-Berry, Okeafor, Dockett, and Others
4. Eagles- Kearse, Simon, Mcdougle, and Others
5. Jets-Ellis, Abraham, Robertson, and others
6. Panthers- Best in the league IMHO
7. Pats-Seymour, Wilfork, Ty Warren, and Jarvis Green
8. Saints-Charles Grant, Darren Howard, Will Smith, and Brian Young
9. Steelers-Aaron Smith, Casey hampton, Kimo von Oelhoffen
10. Vikings-Kevin Williams, Pat Williams, Kenechi Udeze, and Possibly Erasmus James

I think these are more complete DL's than the Jaguars.

BTW, that does not include DEN who I think will be there after some initial growing pains.

The first team defense played two series the last game, both 3 and outs. That's called doing your job. That's six plays. I bet other players didn't show up on the stat sheet.
