Default Trevor Pryce(the d line as a whole)

Pryce looked good with 2 sacks and that whole D line was wreaking havoc. Yes its san fran but its still encouraging.

Anyone know how bad San Fans O-Line is? Honestly it looked as though we won every individual battle accross the line for 2 straight series.

Regardless, this could easily be the best d-line we've had in Shanahans stay here. The thing that excites me the most is the depth. By constantly rotating 8 guys thoughout the game we should really be able to put the heat on teams late in the 4th!!!

Here is to hoping for the best...

Trevor worried me a little after his performance last week. Looks like he's back on track. Shanahan wasn't kidding about Warren. He could be a force in there. Myers & Ekuban looked good, and Engleberger comes up with another sack. I love the motor on that kid. I don't know who stole Dorsett Davis' name & number this year, but we need to kep the guy, whoever he is.

Nope. Go back to when we signed him. The Reverend has given the personally stamp of approval on his health for the season. A minimum of 14 games of domination.

Al Wilson appears to be enjoying the D-line in front of him. He's flying all over the place. They're going to be tough, real tough, to go against this year. They need Bailey back there, big time.

If they live up, the offense could have 3, 4 or 5 extra series each game.

Actually they need to keep breaking in these new corners so our nickle and dime packages are solid.

Oh yeah, true that. I'm just saying once the regular season starts, they need to have Bailey back there.

Davis has been playing every down as if his job depends on it - - which it probably does. I don't recall that he got any sacks last night, but it seemed like he was constantly pushing the pocket into the QB while still maintaining his responsibilities against the run.

Looks like the underrated John Engelberger racked up another sack last night. Two in two games, huh? He also forced a fumble. Probably not a fluke since he had four strips last season, too. What a great trade!

Too bad we're still stuck with Ian though.

"Stuck with ian" isnt that bad. considering it completes the fastest LB core in the NFL

means in the NFL speed is important with tight ends like gates and gonzo becoming more of a staple as well as fast RBS having that fast and smart of a LB core is vital.

Gold has had a pretty good preseason. He made one tackle last night where he burst in under the lineman and made the tackle. Not many LBs could have made that play.

Not that bad?

Ian would get jammed up blitzing the QB by Quentin Griffin dude.

He is worthless. Speed is one thing, but if mighty mouse can block you out of the way or run your ass over, what good is it?

You know what Ian's speed does for him? Gives him the ability to chase down the RB that just ran over his ass.

He tackles just fine, thank you. His speed helps him make plays sideline to sideline and, in cover, block passing lanes
