This has the potential to be a Rick Ankiel situation all over again.

The Chargers at this very moment are already on the phone calling scrub kickers open for work. The Chargers did not bring in one kicker to compete with Kaeding this summer.

San Diego's brutal schedule includes trips to New England, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, the Meadowlands and the tough AFC West venues. Not to mention the Chargers host the Steelers, Bills and Cowboys at home. Kaeding is going to be counted on to win some of those dogfights. I love it!

When he comes to Mile High, we should start a "CAPTAIN HOOK" chant!

you won't go far if your kicker can't make FG's. I feel for the kid but piss on the Bolts

Sorry Marty, he's an Iowa boy, but when he was drafted by the Chargers, I gave him trunk full of whacky stuff. It ranged from TaiStick to Hershey bars to Iowa meth. Sorry, but I did what I had to do. I bet he doesn't even remember it.

As a former Kicker and Pro Soccer Player, I am never at a loss for the lack of solid mechanics by NFL kickers. His technique was different on all THREE kicks! Its like missing your First Drive off the tee left and overcompensating right on the next one. Then by the third hole you just let er rip and the FSU despair of "WIDE RIGHT"

The dumbest thing I have ever done is not playing soccer AND Kicking at IU like Pete Stoyanovich did. He had a decent Career and made a ton of Money. It Kills me to see these guys not work in practice with a REAL kicking specialist. Their are too many games won or lost by Kickers like O'brien and Kaeding. Teams spend Millions on position coaches but neglect the Kickers almost totally.

yea i was watching that game and laughing the entire time kading was on the field. the best part was when longwell just walked out and the chargers used a time out to try to ice him (one they could have used to make one last effort to get into fg range lol) and he casually makes the 53 yarder. the chargers are going into thier 10 year slumber

I'll give Kaeding one thing ..... at least its Pre-Season.

At least his name isn't David Treadwell and its the AFC Championship game vs the Buffalo Bills.

I don't hate too many former Broncos, but Treadwell is at the top of my short S*IT list. I can't believe he still hangs his head around Denver.

This is what he gets for robbing Mike Nugent of the Lou Groza award in 2003, NUGE should've been a 2 time winner of that award.
