Default OT- TiVo to computer.

Can some one step me through hooking a TiVo up to computer so I could make a show into an downloadable file? I know it can be done, as a friend of mine had it hooked up to his computer.

I use TivoToGo. Very simple to use.

If you don't want to do that, then I would talk to your friend. I have never known a way to connect Tivo directly to your computer.

Buy a video capture card. Some sell for as cheap as 50 bucks. Then you just run composite wires from the Tivo video out to the capture device video in. A good capture card will let you capture in different formats like avi, mpeg 1, moeg 2, mpeg 4, .wmv, .mov, etc...

Didn't you know it is illegal to steal copy write images and you preach to me about receiving a signal I pay for because I am on the wrong side of some arbitrary line, geeez.
