Losing sucks whether it's by 1 point or 100. |

Puck in the net with only 3 ticks on the clock is horrendous.

The worst way to lose is when the referee finds a bag of money in his backyard the night before the game, like Red Cashion did the night before The Jacksonville Incident.

I think the worst way to lose is when your team doesn't show heart in during the span of the game. I think that is worse than being blown out, losing by one point, or losing in any heartbreaking manner. I remember feeling this way after a Chiefs game against Oakland in the rain. It was a freaking joke...there was no heart. That was a while ago, luckially we have taken 4 games since from them. But that stands out in my mind.

Witnessing Denver blow a 24-0 Raiders on Monday Night against Shanahan and the Raiders. I can't remember if that was Reeves or not.
The Michael Dean Perry incident in the Jacksonville Playoff was pretty infuriating, along with making Brunell look like Michael Vick. The first SuperBowls were dissapointing, but I honestly think Denver was overmatched. Losing to an inferior team is what drives me bonkers. Last edited by watermock; 07-28-2005 at 08:55 PM.. |

Last second fieldgoals suck. When you are on the losing end.

Give up a 4th down TD.
Drop a TD pass, get a field goal blocked. |

That was going to be my "other" suggestion too, with a hail Mary coming in a close second, followed by a bump and run in racing. |

I think boxing would suck. You fight 15 rounds to have 3 people say who won. Even more so if everyone thought you won to begin with.

My football team came close to losing by 100 during my sophomore year, lucky for us they started playing their freshmen in the 2nd half and only managed to beat us 92-0. And you're right about losing sucks no matter what, I felt like just bruying my head in sand when I was walking down the halls of the school the following Monday. |

how about having your starting running back who just blew away a crappy chefs defense drop a hand off in the red zone to set up the game winning td?

I would imagine the worst way to lose is to be forced to allow a blind runningback to score a stand up touchdown with 1:45 remaining so that you can preserve enough time to try an mount a return effort, only to fail.

Actually, I don't want to talk about the worst way to lose because it's starting to piss me off thinking about some of the terrible losses we've had the last few years.
Like the Miami "ball through the hands" debacle... Or the "abandon the run in overtime" travesty against San Diego... Or the "float a ball in the endzone to be picked off for a touchdown" blight we saw this past season... The "miracle field goal in the blinding snow" mishap of a few years back... ugh... |

The puck hitting the post was nowhere near as disappointing as their failure to play hard for 60 minutes. |
