Ross Verba won a reported half-million dollars in Vegas - The Orange Mane

Former Cleveland Browns offensive lineman Ross Verba was a big hit at Green Valley Ranch's pool party on Sunday. The 6-foot-4, 300-pound party animal is a player on and off the field. Spies tell NORM CLARKE Verba went on a legendary champagne binge after winning a reported half-million dollars at the Palms, according to the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL.

Verba, a free spirit who's been described as a Lyle Alzado-in-training, blew most of it, I'm told, on a "massive champagne buying/spraying spree" at Green Valley Ranch's pool party known as Nirvana.

During the party at his cabana, he recruited seven bikini-clad babes for a "hot body" contest, and rather than picking a single winner, he awarded each of the entries $10,000 for participating.

Sources at the Palms and Green Valley Ranch confirm Verba was on the property.

Verba left the Browns in May under a cloud of controversy, walking away after paying back a $465,000 bonus.

Yeah, let's sign him after he lucks out for half a mil. The guy is Raider material. He hires a dozen hookers around him and hits the slots hard. He hits. BFD. He has a good time and gets rocked up. Doesn't exactly make him tasty to most GM's. Coked up and screwing whores isn't exactly what you need on your team unless your desperate.

I'd say we are pretty desperate at OG. I'd only want him on a one year deal while we hold over for someone more appealing, but it'd be a hell of a lot better than Carlisle, since Verba is actually good.

Though, at this point its probably too late for us to consider adding much OL depth, our system takes too long for a guy to just step in and learn it quick.
