I think he is. Ofcourse there is a qweef fan that thinks he doesn't even crack the top 10, going by nothing but stats ofcourse.
I want to hear your thoughts on why he is or isn't top 5 IYHO. |

Impact player, knows his keys, runs sideline to sideline, and is the heart of our defense. We lost mobley and gold for an entire season, and we actually improved there because Wilson was still in the middle. If he was as mouthy as lewis, people would consider himself the best MLB in football. He isnt mouthy, which is WHY he is the best. IMO.

#1 in my book. I get tired of hearing Big Play Ray run his mouth and Urlacher gets hurt a lot.

The first thing that came to my mind was top 3, easily.... but I cant think of anyone other than Lewis who even comes close to being better than him, so I would say Top 2, maybe the best.

Fierce competitor, plays well hurt, smart, top-notch citizen, can ruin an offensive series all by himself.

This was his list on who was better.
Ray Lewis Brian Urlacher Zach Thomas Donnie Edwards Jamie Sharper And then he named off these players who he said had better years last year. Lance Briggs Nick Barnett Danny Clark |

Edwards is only an OLB. Sharper plays on the inside in a 3-4 defense. |

Oh this was over on the espn boards. No biggie really. All he goes by are the stats. Nothing else mattered to him really. I think he even said that our very own DJ outperformed Wilson. Ofcourse, referring to stats again.

Al's a great player. Easily top 5 and in the top 3 IMO. Yet there's no one better than Ray Ray. I hate him but nobody can deny his greatness. Easily the best MLB in the game, IMO. Easy.

I don't think the gap between Ray Lewis and Al Wilson is all that big, to tell the truth.

I thought Ray really had an off year last year. I dont know if it was age but i didnt think he was that great. Id put Wilson in the Top 5 though, yeah. Edwards had a great year last year but he isnt better than Wilson on the whole. Thomas is on the downside. I think the best MLB in the league is Dan Morgan.

I sometimes feel like al wilson is a highleet reel player in a position that doesn't have many. and he gets a ton of credit for that when in reality ppl like sharper probably deliver as much.
and what about bruschi? |

Isn't Takeo Spikes a MLB? I always thought he was underrated as a LB.

He's a hell of a linebacker. EDIT: According to Ourlads (which isn't always synonymous with "accuracy"), Spikes is a WILL. |

Hmm I wonder if Old Fletch is the MLB then. Bills have a solid group with those two. |
